A preview service stopped at San Marcos Civic Center on December 28, 2007, [2] and regular service commenced March 9, 2008.

Oceanside Transit Center is a major railway interchange in Oceanside, California, serving both intercity and suburban/commuter services. The station is used by Amtrak on the route of its Pacific Surfliner service between San Diego and San Luis Obispo. It is also a terminus for two different regional transit operators – Metrolink, the commuter rail operator for the Los Angeles area, has two of its services, the Orange County Line and Inland Empire–Orange County Line, that terminate at Oceanside, while the North County Transit District, the operator for most of the public transport in the North County, has its COASTER and SPRINTER services also terminating at Oceanside. Oceanside Transit Center is also served by Greyhound Lines, numerous BREEZE buses, and is also the terminal for Riverside Transit Agency's Bus Route 202 to Temecula and Murrieta. COASTER and Metrolink trains going out of service will head to Stuart Mesa but due to the small facility, some Metrolink sets will either be kept at the nearby Fallbrook Yard or stored on an empty track south of the station.

Atherton station is a former Caltrain station in Atherton, California. The station had one side platform and one island platform serving the two tracks of the Peninsula Subdivision, with a concrete and wooden shelter on the west side of the tracks. The station opened by the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1866 as Fair Oaks and was renamed Atherton in 1912. Caltrain cut weekday service to the station in 2005 due to low ridership and a hold-out rule that prohibited two trains from being at the station simultaneously. Weekend service continued until December 2020.
Escondido Transit Center is a bus and train station located in Downtown Escondido, California. It serves as the current eastern terminus of the North County Transit District's SPRINTER hybrid rail line and the northern terminus of the BREEZE Rapid bus rapid transit line. There are plans to extend the SPRINTER service to the Westfield North County mall in southern Escondido, north of Lake Hodges.
Vista Transit Center is a station located in Vista, California, served by North County Transit District's SPRINTER hybrid rail line and BREEZE bus line. The station is located midpoint between the rail line's western terminus at Oceanside Transit Center and eastern terminus at Escondido Transit Center. Cal State San Marcos station is an elevated railway station in San Marcos, California, the only elevated station along the North County Transit District's SPRINTER hybrid rail line, was commenced in 2005. The station sits on a loop of the San Diego Northern Railway's Escondido Subdivision that crosses over State Route 78 to serve the California State University, San Marcos campus, which is located southwest of the station. On campus days, shuttle services are available to ferry students from the train station to the heart of the CSUSM campus and vice versa.
Palomar College Transit Center is a North County Transit District transit hub in San Marcos, California. It consists of a bus station and a train station. The bus station serves as a terminus for all BREEZE bus lines that pass through San Marcos, and is located at the main entrance at Palomar College. Across the street from the bus depot is the two-platform SPRINTER Palomar College station.
