Sandeep Nath is a Bollywood singer, lyricist, composer, screenwriter, director, and producer.

He started his literary career as a poet and singer at the age of eighteen. He has completed two books, Mujhko Kuch Bhi Naam Doh (a collection of Hindi poetry) and Darpan Ab Bhi Andha Hai (a collection of Ghazals). His poetry has been selected in Kabita Parabasey, an anthology of Bengali poems written by the poets from outside Bengal and published by Bangiya Maitri Samiti Mumbai.

During his Indian film career, he wrote lyrics for more than seventy well known Bollywood films, he is most known for his work in films like Madhur Bhandarkar's Page 3 (2005) and Corporate (2006), Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya (2007), Tigmanshu Dhulia's Paan Singh Tomar (film) (2012) [1] and Bullet Raja , Mohit Suri's Aashiqui 2 (2013), Rohit Shetty's Singham Returns (2014), Bhushan Patel's ALONE (2015), Vikramjit Singh's Roy (2015), Deepak Tijori's Do lafzon ki kahani (2016), Tigmanshu Dhulia's Raag Desh (2017), and Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 (2018), and Bhushan Patel's Amavas (2019).

Early life and education

Sandeep Nath was born and brought up in a Bengali family in Uttar Pradesh. Sandeep Nath is a Law graduate. He studied in different cities of Uttar Pradesh India as Allahabad, Kanpur, Moradabad, Dhampur, and Chandpur.

Screenwriting

He ventured into screenwriting. Wrote films including Afsar Bitiya (for Zee TV ) and Ek Ghar Banaunga (for Star Plus ).

Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns is a 2013 Indian romantic thriller drama film directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. It is the sequel to the 2011 film, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster and the second installment of the Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster film series. The film stars Jimmy Sheirgill and Mahi Gill, who reprised their roles from the previous film, while new additions to the cast include Irrfan Khan and Soha Ali Khan. The film was released on 8 March 2013. Jimmy Shergill won Best Actor Award for this film at 11th Norway Bollywood Film Festival in Oslo. A sequel titled Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 was released on 27 July 2018 and got poor reviews because of its poor script and weak plotlines.

Sunn Raha Hai is a song from the 2013 Hindi film Aashiqui 2. Composed by Ankit Tiwari, the song is sung by Tiwari, with lyrics penned by Sandeep Nath. This song along with "Tum Hi Ho" became very popular and was a chartbuster all over India. The song is picturised on Rahul Jaykar performing at a music concert, while the female version of the song is picturised on Arohi Keshav Shirke performing at a local bar.

Yaara (transl. Friend) is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language crime action film written and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and co-produced by Tigmanshu Dhulia Films and Azure Entertainment. The film stars Vidyut Jammwal, Shruti Haasan, Amit Sadh, Vijay Varma, Kenny Basumatary and Ankur Vikal. The film is an official remake of the 2011 French film A Gang Story.
