Sanjay Kumar (born 23 December 1967) is a former freestyle wrestler from India. He became Commonwealth Champion twice, along with finishing runner-up in the 1989 South Asian Games. Although wrestling was not part of the 1990 Commonwealth Games, United World Wrestling conducted the event for the same in 1991, in which Kumar won gold medal. [7] He had represented India in both the junior and the senior World Wrestling Championships. [1]

Along with amateur wrestling, Kumar was also active in the traditional Indian wrestling, where he won the Hind Kesari, the Bharat Kesari, and the Rustom-e-Hind title. He served in the Border Security Force (BSF). [8]

In 1997, the Government of India conferred the Arjuna Award on him. [9]

Bajrang Punia is an Indian freestyle wrestler, who competes in the 65-kg weight category. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Punia won a bronze medal by defeating Kazakhstan's Daulet Niyazbekov with a wide 8-0 margin. Punia is the only Indian wrestler to win 4 medals at the World Wrestling Championships.

Geno Petriashvili is a Georgian heavyweight freestyle wrestler. Petriashvili won his first senior world title at the Paris 2017 World Championships after defeating rival Taha Akgul by the score of 10-8 in a back-and-forth match. He then took his second world title at Budapest 2018 World Championships. Petriashvili has also won two bronze medals in 2013 and 2015, and captured the European title at the 2016 Riga European Championships as well as two bronze medals at the European championships in both 2013 and 2017. He won a bronze medal the Rio Olympics in 2016 and a gold medal the Under 23 years world championships in Poland 2017. He served a six-months suspension in 2014 after testing positive for the non-performance enhancing Preductal, which Petriashvili had been taking regularly since being kidnapped as a child.

Winnie Gofit also known as Winifred Gofit is a Nigerian freestyle wrestler. She is a gold medalist of the African Championships in 2017 and 2018. She is also a silver medallist of Commonwealth Wrestling Championship.

Sammy Oziti is a Nigerian freestyle wrestler. She won two medals at the All-African Games between 2003 and 2007. She obtained six medals in the African Championship between 2006 and 2012. She also won two silver medals at the Commonwealth Wrestling Championship in 2005 and 2013.
