Samajwadi Party is a social democratic political party in India, headquartered in New Delhi. It is mainly based in Uttar Pradesh, with a significant presence in other states as well.
Sikander Bakht was an Indian politician belonging to the Indian National Congress, the Janata Party and, finally, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was elected as the Vice President of the BJP, served as its leader in the Rajya Sabha, and as a cabinet minister in the NDA government headed by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In 2000, he was awarded Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian honour of the Government of India.

Kailash Chandra Joshi was an Indian politician who was the 9th Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh in 1970s. Later he was a member of Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh (2000-2004), and a member of Lok Sabha (2004-2014) from Bhopal belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He started his political career with the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, which later morphed into BJP.
Dr Satyanarayan Jatiya is an Indian politician, now mostly retired. He was elected to the Lok Sabha seven times from Ujjain as a member of Bharatiya Janata Party, and served one term (2014-2020) in Rajya Sabha. Thawar Chand Gehlot is an Indian politician who is the current and 19th Governor of Karnataka, being the first person serving as the Governor of Karnataka from Madhya Pradesh. He assumed office of the Governor of Karnataka on July 11, 2021. He also served as the Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment from 2014 to 2021. Nand Kumar Sai is an Indian politician and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was elected to Lok Sabha, 1989–1991 and 1996–1998, from Raigarh when it was in Madhya Pradesh. In 2004 he was elected a member of the 14th Lok Sabha representing Surguja constituency of Chhattisgarh. He was a Rajya Sabha MP from Chhattisgarh later.
Harish Singh Rawat is an Indian politician who was Chief Minister of Uttarakhand from 2014 to 2017. A five-time Member of Parliament, Rawat is a leader of the Indian National Congress party. As a member of 15th Lok Sabha, Rawat served as Union Minister of Water Resources in the cabinet of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh from 2012 to 2014. He also worked as Minister of State at the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (2011–2012) and Ministry of Labour and Employment (2009–2011).
Jeetendra Singh Bundela was an Indian politician. He was member of 15th Lok Sabha from Khajuraho seat. He was Member of the Legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh, representing the Bijawar seat in Chhatarpur district. He belonged to Bhartiya Janata Party.
Chandla Assembly constituency is one of the 230 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Madhya Pradesh state in central India. This constituency came into existence in 1951 as one of the 48 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the erstwhile Vindhya Pradesh state, but it was abolished in 1956. It came into existence again in 1976. This constituency is reserved for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes since 2008, following delimitation of the legislative assembly constituencies.

She represented Laundi Vidhan Sabha constituency of undivided Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly by winning General election of 1957. She also represented Khajuraho between 1980 and 1989. Her son Satyavrat Chaturvedi was also elected to Lok Sabha from Khajuraho later.

Bal Krishna Sharma, known under the pen name Naveen, was an Indian freedom activist, journalist, politician and a poet of Hindi literature. He was a member of the 1st Lok Sabha, representing Kanpur constituency and served the Rajya Sabha as a member from 1957 till his death. He succeeded Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi as the editor of Pratap daily and also served as a member of the Official Languages Commission. His poetry anthologies include Kumkum, Rashmirekha, Apalak, Kwasi, Vinoba Stavan, Urmila and Hum Vishpaee Janam Ke, the last one published posthumously. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 1960, for his contributions to literature. India Post issued a commemorative stamp on Sharma in 1989.
