Saw Yi Khy (born 1 July 1986) is a Malaysian former swimmer, who specialised in long-distance freestyle events. [1] He clinched a bronze medal in the 1500 m freestyle at the 2003 Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam with a time of 16:07.22. [2] [3] Saw is also a former varsity swimmer for the Bolles School Sharks in Jacksonville, Florida, alongside his teammate Siow Yi Ting. [4]

Saw qualified for the men's 1500 m freestyle at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, by eclipsing a FINA B-cut of 15:58.19 from the Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur. [5] [6] Saw participated in the first heat against two other swimmers Giancarlo Zolezzi of Chile and defending SEA Games silver medalist Charnvudth Saengsri of Thailand. He rounded out a small field to last place by a 5.86-second margin behind Zolezzi in 16:06.38. Saw failed to advance into the final, as he placed thirty-second overall in the preliminaries. [7] [8]

Apart from his duties in Bolles School, Saw is also a member of the swimming team for North Carolina Tar Heels, and a business administration graduate at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Yi-khy no longer swims competitively. Now, he enjoys spending time with this family and friends in addition to playing soccer as a defensive midfielder. He sometimes goes to the PNE in Burnaby because he is a big fan of rollercoasters.

Georgios Diamantidis is a Greek former swimmer, who specialized in long-distance freestyle events. Diamantidis qualified for the men's 1500 m freestyle at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, by clearing a FINA A-standard entry time of 15:09.25 from the Greece National Open in Thessaloniki. He challenged seven other swimmers on the fourth heat, including top medal favorite Larsen Jensen of the United States. He rounded out the field to last place by a 27-second margin behind Italy's Christian Minotti in 16:06.31. Diamantidis failed to advance into the final, as he placed thirty-first overall in the preliminaries.

Cho Sung-mo is a South Korean former swimmer, who specialized in long-distance freestyle events. He established a South Korean record of 15:12.32 to earn a silver medal in the 1500 m freestyle at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan. During his swimming career, Cho has been training most of the time between the United States and Mexico, under veteran coach and long-time mentor Jack Simon.

Han Kyu-chul is a South Korean former swimmer, who specialized in freestyle, butterfly, and individual medley events. He is a two-time Olympian, and an eight-time bronze medalist at the Asian Games.

Arwut Chinnapasaen is a Thai former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. He claimed two gold medals in the 50 m freestyle at the Southeast Asian Games, before losing out to Daniel Coakley of the Philippines in 2007.

Allen Ong Hou Ming is a Malaysian former swimmer, who specialised in sprint freestyle events. He is a two-time Olympian, a double gold medalist in the 100 m freestyle at the Southeast Asian Games, and a varsity swimmer for the Minnesota Golden Gophers at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Damian Arthur Christopher Alleyne is a Barbadian former swimmer who specialized in freestyle events. He is a two-time Olympian, a varsity swimmer for the Georgia Bulldogs, and a graduate of Bolles School and the University of Georgia, with a major in business administration.

Yahor Aliaksandravich Salabutau is a Belarusian former swimmer, who specialized in freestyle events. Salabutau qualified for the men's 200 m freestyle at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, by clearing a FINA B-standard entry time of 1:51.23 from the Belarus Open Championships in Minsk. He challenged seven other swimmers on the fourth heat, including two-time Olympians Joshua Ilika Brenner of Mexico and Giancarlo Zolezzi of Chile. He raced to sixth place by three hundredths of a second (0.03) behind Algeria's Mahrez Mebarek in 1:53.03. Salabutau failed to advance into the semifinals, as he placed thirty-seventh overall in the preliminaries.

Aytekin Mindan is a Turkish former swimmer, who specialized in freestyle events. He held a Turkish record of 1:50.40 in the 200 m freestyle, until it was matched by Kemal Arda Gurdal in 2012. He studied at Istanbul Bilgi University.

Heather Claire Roffey is a Caymanian former swimmer, who specialized in long-distance freestyle and butterfly events. She became one of the first swimmers, and the first female, in history to represent the Cayman Islands in swimming at the Summer Olympics at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, along with Shaune Fraser and Andrew Mackay.

Ratapong "Nuk" Sirisanont is a Thai former swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke, but also competed in long-distance freestyle and individual medley. He is a four-time Olympian, a three-time Asian Games participant, and a seven-time SEA Games athlete (1991–2003). Regarded as Thailand's top swimmer, he has won a total of sixteen medals at the Southeast Asian Games since 1995, and six at the Asian Games, including two golds in the 200 and 400 m individual medley. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Sirisanont became the first Thai swimmer to reach the final twice. Sirisanont is also one of three Southeast Asian swimmers, along with Malaysia's Alex Lim and Philippines' Miguel Molina, to train for the California Golden Bears in the United States, under head coach Nort Thornton.

Diego Mularoni is a Sammarinese former swimmer, who specialized in freestyle events. He is a three-time Olympian, and a current Sammarinese record holder in the 100, 200, 400, and 1500 m freestyle since 2001. He has won a total of 13 medals at the Games of the Small States of Europe.

Arsenio Alexander López Rosario, also known as Alex Lopez, is a Puerto Rican former swimmer and three-time Olympian who specialized in breaststroke and individual medley events.

Torwai Sethsothorn is a Thai former swimmer, who specialized in long-distance freestyle but also competed in backstroke and individual medley. He is a single-time Olympian (2000), and a multiple-time SEA Games gold medalist. Sethsothorn is also the brother of 1998 Asian Games champion Torlarp Sethsothorn.

Dieung Anak Manggang is a Malaysian former swimmer, who specialised in long-distance freestyle and in butterfly events. He is a single-time Olympian (2000), and a multiple-time SEA Games medalist.
