The Africa Scout Region is the divisional office of the World Scout Bureau of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, with satellite offices in Cape Town, South Africa, and Dakar, Senegal. The Africa Region services Scouting in Sub-Saharan Africa and neighboring islands that are recognized members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). Currently, the region has 39 member National Scout Associations/Organizations and 11 potential members. There are about one million registered Scouts in Africa, though it is suspected that there are about twice that number in the region. The large nations of Mali, Guinea-Bissau and the Central African Republic, and several smaller nations, are not yet WOSM members, for various reasons.
The Jordanian Association for Boy Scouts and Girl Guides is the national Scouting and Guiding organization of Jordan. Scouting was founded in Jordan in 1954 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1955. Guiding started in 1938 and became a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1978. It serves 15,521 Scouts and 9,480 Guides.
Monaco has one of the world's smallest national Scouting and Guiding organizations, the Association des Guides et Scouts de Monaco (AGSM). The association has about 84 members. Its headquarters is located in the presbytery of the Sacred Heart parish church in Moneghetti.
The Sierra Leone Scouts Association, the national Scouting organization of Sierra Leone, was founded in 1909, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1964. The coeducational Sierra Leone Scouts Association has 11,749 members as of 2011.
The Sierra Leone Girl Guides Association is the national Guiding organization of Sierra Leone. It serves 2,600 members. Founded in 1924, the girls-only organization became a full member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1963. The current headquarters of the organization is at Tower Hill, Freetown, Western Area.

Scouting and Guiding in El Salvador is served by two groups. Founded in 1944, the Girl Guide Association of El Salvador became an associate member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1949 and a full member in 1960. The Asociación de Scouts de El Salvador was founded in 1938 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1940.

Sir Emile Fashole-Luke KBE (1895-1980) was Sierra Leonean jurist of Krio ethnicity and former acting Chief Justice and Speaker of the House of Parliament of Sierra Leone from 1968 to 1973. He retired in 1973.
