Sean Golden (born June 13, 1983) is a former American artistic gymnast and member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team.
Golden was born as the youngest of six children to Patricia and Ron Golden, a police officer, and raised in Camden, New Jersey. [1] [2] Golden was introduced to gymnastics at four years old as an outlet for his energy after he fell in love with the sport after watching it on television. [1] [3] He quickly advanced within gymnastics, eventually being coached by Macey Watson. [1] He was the 1994 New Jersey state champion on the floor routine and finished third in the state all-around in 1996 via a second-place finish on the floor and third-place finishes on the rings and vault. [2]
Golden attended Camden High School and graduated in 2001. [1] [4] He later attended Camden County College, but dropped out of the latter to focus on gymnastics training and joined his former coach Watson in Florida. [1] [4]
In 2004, Golden moved to Houston to work with former national team coach Kevin Mazeika. [1] [4] He failed to make the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team at the 2005 Winter Cup, but was successful in joining following the 2005 USA Gymnastics National Championships where he was the national champion for the rings and vault. [1] [4] He remained a fixture on every national team through the 2008 National Championships. [5] Ultimately, he was not selected to the 2008 Summer Olympics team which saw two of his roommates, Kevin Tan and Raj Bhavsar, chosen in some capacity. [6] [7]
Internationally, Golden represented the United States at the 2007 Pan American Games and won a silver medal on the rings and a team bronze medal.
Golden's last competition was the 2011 Winter Cup.
Artistic gymnastics is a discipline of gymnastics in which athletes perform short routines on different types of apparatus. The sport is governed by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG), which assigns the Code of Points used to score performances and regulates all aspects of elite international competition. Within individual countries, gymnastics is regulated by national federations such as British Gymnastics and USA Gymnastics. Artistic gymnastics is a popular spectator sport at many competitions, including the Summer Olympic Games.

Manrique Larduet Bicet is a Cuban artistic gymnast. At the 2015 World Championships, he won the silver medal in the all-around- becoming Cuba's first World all-around medalist. He is also the 2015 World horizontal bar bronze medalist, and he represented Cuba at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He is the 2015 Pan American Games vault champion and all-around silver medalist. He is the 2018 Pan American all-around champion and a two-time Pan American champion on the parallel bars At the 2014 Pan American Sports Festival he won medals in every event, including the all-around gold. He withdrew from the 2020 Summer Olympics due to a dispute with the Cuban Gymnastics Federation, and he now lives and trains in Italy.
Andrei Vasile Muntean is a Romanian artistic gymnast. He represented Romania at the 2016 Summer Olympics and placed sixth on the parallel bars. He is the 2017 World University Games vault bronze medalist. He has competed at the World Championships eight times, and he will represent Romania at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Yul Kyung-Tae Moldauer is an American artistic gymnast. He is the 2017 U.S. national all-around champion and the 2017 World bronze medalist on floor exercise. He has been a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team since 2017 and represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and was a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2023 World Championships.
Joseph Kotys was an American artistic gymnast. He was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and won a team gold medal and three individual medals at the 1955 Pan American Games. At the 1948 Summer Olympics, he placed seventh with the team and had his best individual result of twenty-third place on pommel horse.
Samir Aït Saïd is a French artistic gymnast. He is the 2019 World bronze medalist and the 2013 European champion on the still rings. Brandon Briones is an American artistic gymnast. He has been a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and is the 2018 Youth Olympic vault champion. Briones was an alternate for the 2020 Olympic men's gymnastics team.
Audrys Nin Reyes is a Dominican artistic gymnast. He is the 2019 and 2023 Pan American Games vault champion. He was the first Dominican gymnast to win a gold medal at the Pan American Games. He was also the first Dominican gymnast to win a gold medal at an FIG World Cup event when he won the vault title at the 2017 Osijek World Challenge Cup. He is the 2017 Pan American vault and horizontal bar champion and the 2017 Universiade vault champion. He is also the 2018 and 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games vault champion. He has qualified to represent the Dominican Republic at the 2024 Summer Olympics, the first male gymnast from his country to do so.
John Brody Malone is an American artistic gymnast. He has been a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team since 2020 and represented the United States at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games. He was a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He is a three-time United States national all-around champion. On horizontal bar, he is the 2021 World Championship bronze medalist and the 2022 World Champion. With three Olympic and World Championship medals, Malone is tied as the ninth most decorated U.S. male gymnast of all time. He is also a ten-time NCAA National Champion.
Shane Michael Wiskus is an American artistic gymnast who is a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team. He represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and was named as an alternative for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Additionally, he represented the United States at the 2019 World Championships and is a three-time NCAA Champion.
Paul Wojciech Juda is an American artistic gymnast. He is a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team. He was a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2023 World Championships and the bronze medal-winning team at the 2024 Olympic Games. He was also a two-time silver medalist at the 2021 Pan American Championships. In NCAA Gymnastics, he competes for the Michigan Wolverines, where he has won five Big Ten titles and three individual NCAA championships.
