Sebastes gilli, also known as the bronzespotted rockfish [1] , is a species of scorpionfish belonging to the subfamily Sebastinae.
It is native to the eastern Pacific Ocean near California (Monterey Bay), United States and Baja California, Mexico. It is demersal meaning that it lives near the bottom of a water body. They can be found at depths of 75–375 metres (250–1,230 ft). [2]
