Garrett County is the westernmost county of the U.S. state of Maryland completely within the Appalachian Mountains. As of the 2020 census, the population was 28,806, making it the third-least populous county in Maryland. Its county seat is Oakland. The county was named for John Work Garrett (1820–1884), president of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. Created from Allegany County in 1872, it was the last Maryland county to be formed.

There is an annual Cherry Festival in the summer and an annual Wine Country Harvest Festival in autumn. It is part of the Erie Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is the northernmost town in Pennsylvania.

George A. Dondero High School opened in 1927 in Royal Oak, Michigan in Greater Detroit. It was named after former Royal Oak School Board president and U.S. representative George A. Dondero. Chapel Brook of Franklin County, Massachusetts is a tributary of the South River and the name of a 173-acre (70 ha) open space preserve located along the brook. The Chapel Brook reservation, managed by the non-profit conservation organization The Trustees of Reservations, is located in Ashfield and contains Chapel Falls, a series of three waterfalls on Chapel Brook, measuring 10 feet (3.0 m), 15 feet (4.6 m) and 20 feet (6.1 m) high; and Pony Mountain est. 1,400 feet (430 m), a 100-foot (30 m) open granite cliff face and popular recreational rock climbing site.
WDOE is an AM/FM radio station located in Dunkirk, New York. It is owned by Alan Bishop and George Kimble, who also own sister station WBKX in Fredonia. The station operates on an AM frequency of 1410 kHz. On December 7, 2012, WDOE began simulcasting on an FM translator at 94.9 MHz. On November 5, 2020, it added a second FM signal at 101.5 MHz. The station then dropped is 94.9 FM signal in the spring of 2022.
Moscow is an unincorporated community in Augusta County, Virginia, United States, located on State Route 42 about 8 miles (13 km) south of Bridgewater. With only a few residents, it consists of a Brethren church, an elementary school, a cabinet shop, a few houses, and a small store. This is mostly a business area for the Mount Solon area.

Athol-Royalston Regional High School is a public high school in Athol, Massachusetts. The Bears are the school mascot and the school colors are red and white. The Old Athol High School is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The current high school is at 2363 Main Street. It is part of the Athol-Royalston Regional School District.
