Sensitive Pete is best known as the bass player for The Bollweevils, Naked Raygun, The Methadones, The Bomb, Explode And Make Up, and the Neutron Bombs. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]
Pete grew up on the north west side of Chicago. His mother is a Chicago police officer. Pete started playing guitar and bass guitar at the age of 12 years. When Pete was 16 he joined his first band, named Last Vatican Council. He was part of the original line-up of the Methadones, which started in 1993. That version of the band soon disbanded but the band reformed in 2000 and lasted until 2010.
In 2003 Pete joined The Bomb, the side-project band for Naked Raygun lead vocalist Jeff Pezzati.
In 2011 Pete was invited to fill in on bass for a convalescing Pierre Kezdy of Naked Raygun. [6] He left Naked Raygun in June 2014.

Jeffrey Neal "Jeff" Pezzati is the lead singer of the Chicago punk band Naked Raygun. From 1983 to 1985, he also played bass for the band Big Black. In 1980 Pezzati was asked to audition for Naked Raygun. Pezzati passed the audition and became the band's longest-running member. The band has been credited by Dave Grohl of Nirvana/Foo Fighters fame for inspiring the then 13 year old Grohl to get into punk music.
Pegboy is an American punk band from Chicago, Illinois with a relatively large cult following. They were founded in 1990 by John Haggerty, along with his brother Joe Haggerty, Larry Damore (vocals/guitar), and Steve Saylors (bass). Both Damore and Saylors had been members of the Chicago-based hardcore band Bhopal Stiffs, whose 1987 demo had been produced by John Haggerty. Pegboy's 1990 debut EP, "Three-Chord Monte", was also the first release by Quarterstick Records, an offshoot of Touch and Go Records. Steve Saylors dropped out in 1992 after job commitments prevented him from touring. Steve Albini, a longtime friend of the band, filled the bass slot on the "Fore" EP. Former Naked Raygun bassist Pierre Kezdy became the permanent bass player in 1994. After the reformation of Naked Raygun, Mike Thompson took over for Kezdy on bass.
Wiggle is the fifth studio album by the Chicago-based punk rock band Screeching Weasel. Initially planned for release in November 1992, the album was finally released on CD, vinyl and cassette on January 15, 1993, through Lookout Records. Due to a "cymbal hissing" in the original vinyl version, the album was remixed and re-released soon afterwards.
The Methadones are a Punk rock band formed in 1993 by guitarist/vocalist Dan Vapid in Chicago, Illinois. The Methadones initially lasted only a few shows before Vapid put them to the side to focus on his main band Screeching Weasel. By 1999 Dan was no longer a member of Screeching Weasel or his other band The Riverdales, and decided to restart The Methadones with B-Face of The Queers on bass, and Dan Lumley on drums. The band recorded their first album Ill at Ease in 2001. After the recording, B-Face and Lumley left the band. Schafer formed a new lineup of The Methadones with guitarist Mike Byrne, bassist Sensitive Pete, and drummer Mike Soucy.

John Haggerty is an influential Chicago guitarist. A key member of Naked Raygun during their heyday (1983–1989), Haggerty formed the band Pegboy, with brother Joe Haggerty on drums and Steve Saylors (bass) and Larry Damore (vocals) of the Bhopal Stiffs, upon leaving Naked Raygun.
Noise By Numbers is an American pop punk band featuring Dan Schafer, Jeff Dean, Rick Uncapher, and Jimmy Lucido. Their sound has been described as reminiscent of Hüsker Dü, the Replacements, Dinosaur Jr., Naked Raygun and the Effigies.
The Black Sheep Band is a Chicago-based punk rock supergroup that made a record for charity in 2011 called A Chicago Punk Rock Collaboration For The Kids, Vol 1. Members of the band include well-known musicians and punk pioneers such as Jake Burns of Stiff Little Fingers, Dan Vapid of Screeching Weasel, Eric Spicer of Naked Raygun, Mike Byrne and Sensitive Pete both of The Methadones, James Toland of Micro Penis, Gina Knapik of Venom Lords, Dan Knapik of Not Rebecca, Herb Rosen from Rights Of The Accused and jazz saxophonist Scott Haynes.

The Bomb started in 1999, formed by Jeff Pezzati of Naked Raygun. Despite the band's quiet beginnings, Steve Albini (Shellac), Big Black, recorded half of their first LP, Torch Songs, which featured the original line-up of John Maxwell on guitar and Paul Garcia on drums and backing vocals, with Steev Custer taking over bass duties. In 2002, Jeff Dean replaced Maxwell on guitar, and in 2003 Custer and Garcia were replaced by Pete Mittler The Methadones, Naked Raygun), Mike Soucy The Methadones, Jetlag). This has been the definitive line up of the band.
