Asian Man Records is a DIY record label run by Mike Park [1] in Monte Sereno, California. Park started a record label and began releasing music in 1989 under the name Dill Records, with the Asian Man label established in May 1996. [2]

Asian Man Records were distributed by Mordam Records. [3]

Sublabels

In 2011, Park established the Fun Fun Records sublabel, which released children's music. [4] As of 2015, artists on the Fun Fun label included Mike Park, Dan Potthast, Play Date, Kepi Ghoulie, Happy Wags, and Koo Koo Kanga Roo. [5]

The label specializes in mostly ska and punk. The first proper release by the label was Link 80's 17 Reasons and the label has since gone on to release recordings by punk heavyweights such as Alkaline Trio [6] and Less Than Jake. Other artists released include:

Slapstick is an American punk-ska fusion band from Elgin, Illinois that was primarily active from 1993 to 1996. Started by a group of friends, they took inspiration from Operation Ivy and the guttural punk vocals of Crimpshrine. Though the band had made the decision to break up a couple of weeks beforehand, their original final show was October 5, 1996 at the Metro with Less Than Jake and Skankin' Pickle. Since disbanding, Slapstick has periodically reunited to perform shows for various reasons, including benefits and anniversaries. The band is known for being the root of the "Slapstick Family Tree", a group of musical projects which spawned from members of Slapstick, including Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms, The Broadways, Tuesday, Duvall, Colossal, The Honor System and The Falcon.

Classics of Love is an American punk rock band from the San Francisco Bay Area, formed in 2008. The band was together until 2012 and consisted of singer Jesse Michaels with guitarist Mike Huguenor, bassist Morgan Herrell, and drummer Max Feshbach. Signed to Asian Man Records, Classics of Love released their debut, the Walking in Shadows EP, in 2009, followed by a single in 2010 and an eponymously titled album in 2012.

Worry is the second solo album by American rock musician Jeff Rosenstock, released on October 14, 2016 by SideOneDummy Records. Released over a year after his debut solo album We Cool?, Worry was recorded in April and May 2016 at a house in Stinson Beach, California. Much of the album was written shortly after Rosenstock's band's gear was stolen while on tour in 2015. Worry saw the former Bomb the Music Industry! and The Arrogant Sons of Bitches frontman achieve his greatest critical success, with numerous placements on year-end lists and previously unseen media exposure. Jeremy Andrew "Jer" Hunter is an American YouTuber, musician, composer and music educator who hosts the YouTube channel Skatune Network, where they post ska covers of popular songs. They have also released original music under the name JER, played trombone for ska punk band We Are the Union since 2015, and performed on albums by The Bruce Lee Band, Jeff Rosenstock, and Illuminati Hotties. Prominent on social media, Hunter has been outspoken about the history and current state of ska music, earning the fan nickname "The CEO of Ska". Slant is a South Korean hardcore punk band. Since their formation in 2018, the band has released a studio album 1집 (2021).
