Shiloh National Military Park preserves the American Civil War Shiloh and Corinth battlefields. The main section of the park is in the unincorporated town of Shiloh, about nine miles (14 km) south of Savannah, Tennessee, with an additional area located in the city of Corinth, Mississippi, 23 miles (37 km) southwest of Shiloh. The Battle of Shiloh began a six-month struggle for the key railroad junction at Corinth. Afterward, Union forces marched from Pittsburg Landing to take Corinth in a May siege, then withstood an October Confederate counter-attack.
St. Stephens is an unincorporated census-designated place in Washington County, Alabama, United States. Its population is 580. Located near the Tombigbee River in the southwestern part of the state and 67 miles north of Mobile, it is composed of two distinct sites: Old St. Stephens and New St. Stephens. The Old St. Stephens site lies directly on the river and is no longer inhabited. It was the territorial capital of the Alabama Territory. Now encompassed by the Old St. Stephens Historical Park, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Glenville is an unincorporated community in Russell County, Alabama, United States which used to be in Barbour County. During the Civil War, Company "H" of the 15th Regiment Alabama Infantry was raised from Barbour and Dale counties and called the "Glenville Guards". The Glennville Historic District, containing the antebellum core of the community, is a historic district listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

These properties, which may be of national, state, and local significance, are designated by the Alabama Historical Commission. The designation is honorary and carries no direct restrictions or incentives. The register includes properties such as cemeteries, churches, moved properties, reconstructed properties, and properties at least 40 years old which may not normally qualify for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. There are approximately 1,683 properties and districts listed on the Alabama Register. Of these, approximately 240 are also listed on the National Register of Historic Places and 6 are designated as National Historic Landmarks.
Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church is a church at 410 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Selma, Alabama, United States. This church was a starting point for the Selma to Montgomery marches in 1965 and, as the meeting place and offices of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) during the Selma Movement, played a major role in the events that led to the adoption of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The nation's reaction to Selma's "Bloody Sunday" march is widely credited with making the passage of the Voting Rights Act politically viable in the United States Congress.

Little Jerusalem AME Church, also known as Bensalem AME Church, is a historic African Methodist Episcopal church located at 1200 Bridgewater Road in Cornwells Heights, Bensalem Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1830, and renovated about 1860 and 1896. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, one room frame structure with a gable roof. The cemetery surrounding the church contains burials of black Civil War soldiers.
Greenlawn Methodist Church and Cemetery, also known as Scobee Chapel and Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, is a historic Methodist church and cemetery located near Perry, Ralls County, Missouri. The church was built about 1883, and is a one-story, rectangular frame building on a stone pier foundation. It measures 26 feet, 6 inches, by 40 feet, 6 inches, has a gable front, and is sheathed in clapboard siding. The cemetery contains 196 graves with stones dating from 1883 to the present.
Latham United Methodist Church is a historic church building on the east side of Highway 59 in Baldwin County. It was built in 1906 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. This church is one of the last remaining buildings that was located in Latham, Alabama.

Shady Grove Baptist Church is a historic church at 3444 31st Way North, Collegeville in Birmingham, Alabama. The building is of concrete construction that was built in 1942 under the direct of its pastor, the Rev. Lewis J. Rogers. The exterior was faced with Permastone in the early 1960s. It is significant for its congregation's participation in the Alabama Christian Movement for Human Rights rallies for Civil rights in the 1950s and the 1960s under Rogers' direction. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
Butler Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church is a historic church at 1002 N. Church Street in Tuskegee, Alabama. Built in 1957, it was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage in 1985 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. It was an important location associated with the civil rights movement of the 1950s and '60s.

The Pine Grove Cemetery is the second oldest cemetery in Truro, Massachusetts. The cemetery was established in 1799; it is located on Cemetery Road in a remote area of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Originally established by Truro's Methodists, the cemetery was located near a church which has not survived. The cemetery is surrounded by a fence made of granite posts connected by iron rails. Access to its interior is via a gravel roadway that roughly bisects the property from east to west; there is also a grassy path to a pedestrian gate on the south side. Burials in the cemetery date from 1799 to the recent past.
