Colonel Kumar Sri Sir Ranjitsinhji Vibhaji II,,often known as Ranji or K. S. Ranjitsinhji,was an Indian cricketer who became ruler of the Indian princely state of Nawanagar from 1907 to 1933. The main part of his cricket career was from 1893 to 1904 when,as one of the greatest batsmen of his time,he played for Cambridge University,Sussex,London County and,in 15 Test matches,for England.
The Ranji Trophy is a premier domestic first-class cricket championship played in India and organized annually by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The teams representing regional and state cricket associations participate. BCCI founded the championship in 1934,Since then it has been organised across various grounds and stadiums in India.

Jadeja is a Rajput clan that inhabits the Indian state of Gujarat and the Tharparkar district of Sindh,Pakistan. They originated from Sammas of Sindh,a pastoral group,and laid a claim on the Rajput identity after marriages with Sodha Rajput women by adopting a process called Rajputisation.
Salim Durani was an Afghan-born Indian cricketer who played in 29 Test matches from 1960 to 1973. The Indian cricket team touring England and the British Isles in the summer of 1911 was the first all-Indian team to tour the country. The team was led by the then 19-year old Maharaja of Patiala Bhupinder Singh and had representation from the Parsees,Hindus,and the Muslims. The team had limited success winning only two amongst the 23 matches that they played on the tour.

Bhausaheb Babasaheb Nimbalkar was an Indian first-class cricketer who is remembered for his innings of 443 not out in the 1948–49 Ranji Trophy match between Maharashtra and Kathiawar. At the time,it was the second-highest score in the history of first-class cricket. It remains the Indian record and is also the highest score by a batsman who never played in Test cricket. Nimbalkar was a right-handed batsman whose career spanned the seasons from 1939/40 to 1963/64. He played for six first-class teams:Baroda,Maharashtra,Holkar,Madhya Bharat,Rajasthan,and Railways. He was an occasional wicket-keeper and a right-arm fast-medium bowler.

Lakhajirajsinhji II was the ruler of the Indian princely state of Rajkot from April 1890 until his death,holding the title Thakore Saheb. Lakhajirajsinhji became one of the most progressive princely state rulers,introducing some of the first democratic institutions in India. Major-General Kumar Shri Himmatsinhji Jadeja CIE was the first Deputy defence minister of India and the first Lieutenant-Governor of Himachal Pradesh. A descendant of the rulers of Nawanagar State,he served with the Indian Army,reaching the rank of major-general. He was later a member of the two most recent predecessors of the lower house of the Parliament of India –the Central Legislative Assembly and the Constituent Assembly. He also played several first-class cricket matches and was the nephew of Ranjitsinhji and brother of Duleepsinhji,both of whom played Test cricket for England.
Rajkumar Shri Indravijaysinhji Dilawarsinhji Jadeja was an Indian cricketer. A descendant of the ruling family of Nawanagar State,and a nephew of Ranjitsinhji,who played Test cricket for England,Indravijaysinhji was introduced to cricket at the Rajkumar College,Rajkot where most of his family had been educated. He went on to play Ranji Trophy matches for Western India,Nawanagar,and Saurashtra,captaining Nawanagar. He also appeared for several combined teams against touring international sides,and finished his career with 28 first-class matches and a single first-class century.
Rajkumar Shri Sukhdevsinhji RajendrasinhjiJadeja,known professionally as R. K. Sukhdevsinhji,is an Indian businessman and former cricketer. Sukhdevsinhji played a single first-class match for Baroda during the 1953–54 season,aged 17. His father,General Rajendrasinhji,was descended from the ruling family of Nawanagar State,and many other members of his family played cricket at high levels. Sukhdevsinhji later studied economics at St. Stephen's College,Delhi,and has held a variety of positions with companies in India's oil and gas sector,most notably as chairman of Bharat Petroleum.
Maharaj Shri Ranvirsinhji,a member of the Jamnagar royal family,played first-class cricket in India from 1936 to 1952. He toured Australia with the Indian team in 1947-48 but did not play Test cricket.
Raj Kumar Yadvendrasinhji,a member of the Jamnagar royal family,played first-class cricket in India from 1935 to 1947.
Abdul Aziz Durrani was an Afghan-born Indian cricket coach and first-class cricketer. He played as a wicket-keeper and batsman for Sind and Nawanagar in the Ranji Trophy. He was the father of India Test cricketer Salim Durani.
