The Lal Mandir is an old Hindu temple in the locality of Shobhabazar, at the crossing of Raja Nabakrishna Street and Jyotindra Mohan Avenue of Kolkata, India. [1] [2] It is said to be built by the Raja of Shobhabazar. It is located near Sobhabazar Metro Station entrance.

Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga is a Hindu temple, dedicated to Shiva in Verul village of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, India. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga mandirs. The mandir is a national protected site, one and a half kilometers away from the Ellora Caves, 30 kilometres north-west of the city Aurangabad, and 300 kilometres east-northeast far from Mumbai. Grushneshwar is mentioned in Shiva Purana, Skanda Purana, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.
The Birla Mandirs refer to different Hindu temples or Mandirs built by the Birla family in different cities across India. All these temples are magnificently built, some in white marble or sandstone. The temples are generally located in a prominent location, carefully designed to accommodate a large number of visitors. The worship and discourses are well organized. The first one was built in 1939 in Delhi collectively by Jugal Kishore Birla and his brothers and their father. Later temples were built by and managed by different branches of the family. For both of the temples in Varanasi, the Birlas joined other donors to support the cost.

The Sovabazar Raj family, seated at Sovabazar Palace in the Indian city of Kolkata, were the Zamindars of Shobhabazar. The clan begins with a Maharaja Naba Krishna Deb Bahadur left behind two sons, adopted son Raja Gopimohan Deb (1768) and his own son Raja Raj Krishna Deb.
