Hemlock Society is an Indian Bengali romantic dark comedy released on 22 June 2012, directed by Srijit Mukherji, who is also the director of Autograph and Baishe Srabon. The film's cast consists of Parambrata Chatterjee, Koel Mallick, and Soumitra Chatterjee. The name is inspired by the erstwhile Hemlock Society, a society which was based in Santa Monica, US. The primary missions of this society included providing information to dying persons and supporting legislation permitting physician-assisted suicide. The movie was remade in Marathi in 2015 as Welcome Zindagi. A box-office success.

It was originally presented as a tribute to Shakespeare on the 450th anniversary of his birth in 2014. Its first showing occurred at a British conference about the Bard held in London. In 2015, the movie was screened at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.

The film revolves around a rape victim Shuvra who is a radio jockey by profession, with Shakib Khan, who fought a legal battle in the court as her chief lawyer, Mahiya Mahi and Shahiduzzaman Selim played in the lead roles. The film soundtrack is composed by Dolaan Maainnakk, previously she collaborate with Khan in Bhaijaan Elo Re in 2018.

The show is produced by Snehasish Chakraborty of Blues Productions and stars Swikriti Majumder and Syed Arefin in lead roles. On 8 August 2022, an Odia dubbed version of this show was premiered on Star Kiran. After a successful run of almost two years, the show went off-air on 4 September 2022.
