Skeleton Skeletron is the sixth studio album from Swedish band Tiamat.
Following A Deeper Kind of Slumber , the band took a less ambiguous direction to their style, utilizing a gothic rock sound but with various atmospheric soundscapes/effects and female background vocals added in.
"Church of Tiamat" is also the name of the band's official website.
The end of the song "As Long as You Are Mine" includes a quote of the opening of French poet Jean de La Fontaine's fable Le Loup et l’Agneau (The Wolf and the Lamb). The end of the song "Lucy" contains a popular sample from the 1957 science-fiction film The Brain from Planet Arous .

Tiamat is a Swedish metal band that formed in Stockholm in 1987 and led by Johan Edlund. The band went through a number of stylistic changes in their earlier releases before settling on gothic metal.
Runemagick is a Swedish death/doom band formed in 1990. The band was started by Nicklas "Terror" Rudolfsson under the name Desiderius, which was quickly changed to Runemagic. First, the band consisted solely of Rudolfsson, but he was later joined by Robert "Reaper" Pehrsson. They started out as a pure death metal band but later incorporated doom metal influences, inspired by the likes of Bathory, Treblinka/Tiamat, Celtic Frost, Nihilist/Entombed, and Candlemass.
Wildhoney is the fourth studio album from Swedish music group Tiamat. The album was produced by Waldemar Sorychta and released by Century Media records in 1994. Vocalist Johan Edlund and John Hagel were the only two remaining members of Tiamat who were still with the group after their previous album Clouds in 1992. The album was marked a strong change in the style of Tiamat's music with more progressive rock and psychedelic music-influenced music and a less death metal-oriented style. The music on the album deals with the occult, nature, and LSD.
A Deeper Kind of Slumber is the fifth studio album from Swedish band Tiamat. Featuring female background vocals by Birgit Zacher and experimentation with a variety of influences, the album marked the group's first complete withdrawal from both death metal and conventional heavy metal, following their 1994 release, Wildhoney. It was also the first production after their relocation to Germany, and was written almost entirely by founder/lead songwriter Johan Edlund. Much of the music had reflected on Edlund's personal relationship with drugs, creative differences within the band as well as an interpersonal relationship.

The EP was announced on the band's official Facebook page on 21 February 2016, and four days later, on 25 February, the track listing was unveiled.
