Sparenberg is an unincorporated community in Dawson County, Texas, United States. [1] According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had an estimated population of 20 in 2000.
Sparenberg is located at the intersection of Farm to Market Road 828 and Farm to Market Road 26, 14 mi (23 km) southeast of Lamesa in southeastern Dawson County. [2]
Sparenberg had its own school in 1948. [2] Today, Sparenberg is served by the Klondike Independent School District.
Hidalgo County is located in the U.S. state of Texas. It is named for Nicholas Mosby Dawson, a soldier of the Texas Revolution. Dawson County comprises the Lamesa, TX Micropolitan Statistical Area (μSA), and it is, by population, the smallest Micropolitan Statistical Area in the United States.
