The preliminary rounds took place at E. L. Senanayake premises; in Kandy on 30, 31 October and 1 November; at Mahinda College, Galle on 11 and 12 November and at Stein Studios on 24, 25 November and 26. [1]
Throughout the show, the contestants should perform in front of the judges. Audition round held in January 2018 and semifinals were chosen by the judge board. Public was able to vote only in the finals. The first television premier started on 18 March 2018 at 9 p.m.
Three golden buzzer acts were chosen straightly to the live shows by each member of the judge panel. Jackson Anthony pressed the golden buzzer for the fire dance act by Nipuni Sithara. Tillakaratne Dilshan pressed the golden buzzer for traditional Angampora dance act by the Sri Lanka Air Force. Musician N.S. Wageshan won the golden buzzer from judge Soundarie David Rodrigo.
After auditions, the judges further deliberated to reduce the number of contestants who passed the auditions to 56, which included 3 golden buzzer acts. 50 contestants were initially chosen for the quarterfinals and 3 wild card acts were later selected by the judges. This session was similar to 'judge cuts' and 'deliberation rounds' held in other got talent franchises. Some acts were required to perform again in order to be confidently chosen for the quarterfinals.
The winner of the show will be awarded Rs 10 million [2]
Quarterfinals aired from 17 June 2018 and was at Stein Studios, Colombo. 7 acts participated in each quarterfinal where 3 contestants chosen by the judge board moved onto the semifinals. The top 24 contestants participated in the semifinals, which aired from 12 August 2018. In each semifinal, 6 acts participated, where one act was selected by the judge board to advance to the pre finals immediately and the other 2 acts advanced based upon public vote. Lahiru Perera acted as a guest judge in semifinals 1 where Jackson Anthony's golden buzzer act, Nipuni Sithara won the judges' decision to immediately advance to the pre-finals. The guest judge in semifinals 2 was Dilhani Ekanayake and Tillakaratne Dilshan's golden buzzer act, Angampora pool of the Sri Lanka Air Force won the judges' decision to advance to the pre finals immediately. Circus acrobat M.G. Suminda won the judges' decision in semifinals 3, where Bathiya Jayakody of music duo Bathiya and Santhush acted as the guest judge. Rubic Cube Solver, Osindu Nayanajith won the judges' decision in semifinals 4. Pubudu Chathuranga acted as the guest judge in this semifinal.
The Pre Finale round consisted of two episodes where six acts participated in each episode. At the end of the second episode, the judge board chose six acts to advance into the Grand Finale. Pre Finals was held on 9 & 16 September 2018.
The Grand Finale was held on 30 September 2018 live from Stein Studios of Sirasa TV. Angampora Pool of the Sri Lanka Air Force won the show [3] where fast mental arithmetic act, Nimna Hiranya was the runner up. Fire dance act Nipuni Sithara received the 2nd Runner-up in the competition.

India's Got Talent is a televised Indian Hindi language talent show series and is part of the Got Talent franchise. The program is produced and distributed by Fremantle and Syco Entertainment. The show aired on Colors TV till season 8. Since season 9 the show is airing on Sony Entertainment Television.
Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) is a Philippine reality talent competition show on ABS-CBN that began on February 20, 2010, replacing The Singing Bee & Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up and replaced by Twist and Shout on July 3, 2010. It is based on the Got Talent franchise, a British TV format conceived and owned by Simon Cowell's SYCO company. "Pilipinas" is the Filipino word for Philippines. Anyone can join and showcase their talents in the audition. At the sound of four buzzers from the judges, the auditionees are asked to stop their act. With at least three approval votes from the judges, they are automatically in the list for Judges Cuts, where judges have to pick only 36 acts that will move to the semi-finals. Acts will compete against each other in order to gain the audience support to win the prize money and the title of Pilipinas Got Talent.
SA's Got Talent (also known as South Africa's Got Talent or shorten to SAGT) was a South African television show that aired on e.tv and part of the Got Talent series. It was presented by Mo Mahlangu, popularly known as Tol Ass Mo. Singers, dancers, comedians, variety acts, and other performers competed against each other for audience support. The winner of each series received R500,000. The first series of the talent show began on 1 October 2009 and was broadcast weekly with a live semi-finals and final on 12 November 2009.
Ellada Eheis Talento is a Greek reality television series and is part of the Got Talent multinational franchise. It premiered in Greece for the first time on 23 March 2007 and ended after 4 seasons on 25 June 2012 on the ANT1. The fifth season of Pilipinas Got Talent is a talent show on ABS-CBN. The sixth season of Pilipinas Got Talent is a talent reality competition that aired on ABS-CBN from January 6 to April 29, 2018, replacing Little Big Shots Philippines. It aired on Saturdays at 7:00 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 p.m. (PST). In March 2020, the season temporarily returned to air on Sundays, filling the second half timeslot of The Voice Teens, due to the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon done in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines. However, the re-runs were abruptly cut after ABS-CBN was forced to indefinitely stop operations.
Sri Lanka's Got Talent is a Sri Lankan television talent show which started in 2017 and originated from the Got Talent franchise. It is a Stein Studios production and will be aired on Sirasa TV. Contestants of any age, who possess some sort of talent, can audition for the show, with their performance judged by a panel of judges; the current lineup consists of Jackson Anthony, Soundarie David Rodrigo and Tillakaratne Dilshan. Those that make it through the auditions compete against other acts in a series of quarterfinals, and then the semifinals. Three acts are chosen in each quarterfinal by the judge board to move on to the semifinals.
Light Balance are a Ukrainian LED dance troupe formed in 2012 and based in Dnipro, Ukraine. They are best known for television appearances in competition shows.
'Youth with Talent - Generation Next' is a Sri Lankan reality talent contest which was aired on ITN in 2016. The show brings together contestants between the ages of 15 and 35 to participate in a talent competition which was hosted by Dilshan Pathirathna and directed by award-winning musical and tele-drama director, Mr. Sandaruwan Jayawickrama. Other contributors include Mr. Saman Athaudahetti, the chairman of ITN and Mr. Eranda Weliange, the chairman of NYSC.
Zurcaroh is an acrobatic show group based in Götzis, Vorarlberg (Austria), and directed by Brazilian choreographer Peterson da Cruz Hora. The group became internationally known after they won a golden buzzer on the 2017 season of France's Got Talent and again in 2018 on season 13 of America's Got Talent, when they finished second overall.
India's Got Talent season 8 started on 20 October 2018. Actress Malaika Arora Khan, director and producer Karan Johar, and veteran actress Kirron Kher returned as the judges. Bharti Singh returned to present the show. Rithvik Dhanjani also hosted the show.
East Africa's Got Talent is a talent show competition that is part of the Got Talent franchise owned by Simon Cowell. It broadcasts simultaneously across four countries in East Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda.
Dominicana's Got Talent is a Dominican reality television series which airs on the Color Visión television network. The show is part of the global British Got Talent franchise. It is the first edition of the franchise to be based in a Caribbean country. Dominicana's Got Talent follows the Got Talent format, in which contestants audition in front of four judges and a studio audience. Up until the semifinal and final rounds, the judges decide whether or not a contestant advances in the competition. During the semifinal and final rounds, viewers vote on which contestants will advance.
V. Unbeatable is a Mumbai-based dance crew. They rose to fame in India when they took part in the dance series Dance Plus for season 4 in 2018 and finished in the top 4. They received international coverage when they took part in season 14 of America's Got Talent and received a Golden Buzzer from basketball player and guest judge Dwyane Wade.
India's Got Talent 9, is the ninth the Indian reality TV series India's Got Talent. It premiered from 15 January 2022 on Sony TV. Kirron Kher judging the show for the ninth time along with Manoj Muntashir, Shilpa Shetty and Badshah who were the judges of the season 9. This season was hosted by Arjun Bijlani.

The sixteenth series of British talent competition programme Britain's Got Talent began on ITV1 from 15 April 2023, and is again presented by Ant & Dec. For the first time since 2012, the judging panel changed following David Walliams' resignation from the series after ill-received comments made about several contestants during series 14. On 24 January 2023, ITV announced that Bruno Tonioli would serve as his replacement.
