Steffi van Wyk-Brink (born 23 October 1991) is a Namibian model and beauty pageant titleholder who represented Namibia at the Miss World 2015 pageant. [1]

Early life and education

On 22 April 1995, Van Wyk was born in Windhoek, Namibia. She grew up on a farm. [2]

Van Wyk attended Jan Mohr Secondary School in Windhoek, Namibia. [1] She studied further in South Africa. [3]

Career

Van Wyk was a sports organiser and a part-time fitness instructor at Jan Mohr Secondary School , her former high school. [1] Her contract with the school, however, expired in August 2015. After August 2015, Van Wyk devoted time to prepare for her title as Miss Namibia 2015.

Miss Namibia 2015

In August 2015, Van Wyk won the title of Miss Namibia. The pageant was held in Windhoek, Namibia. [1] [4] Van Wyk represented Namibia and competed at the Miss World 2015.

Sports

As a fitness and health instructor, Van Wyk is also a body builder. [5]

Van Wyk is the co-owner of Brink Fit, aa sports, fitness, and wellness company. [5]

Personal life

In August 2016, Van Wyk married Clint Brink, a South African actor. Van Wyk lives in Johannesburg, South Africa. [5]

Survivor South Africa

Van Wyk was a contestant on 2019's Survivor South Africa: Island of Secrets . [6] Her frequent abrasive outbursts and brash attitude had her portrayed as a villain. She exited the game as the fourth runner-up.

Smith was the third Miss USA of African-American origin, after Carole Gist (1990) and Kenya Moore (1993), in addition to being the sixth American woman to win Miss Universe and the first since Shawn Weatherly was crowned Miss Universe 1980.

Rehoboth, Namibia Town in Hardap Region, Namibia

Rehoboth is a town in central Namibia just north of the Tropic of Capricorn. Located 90 kilometres south of the Namibian capital Windhoek, Rehoboth lies on a high elevation plateau with several natural hot-water springs. It receives sparse mean annual rainfall of 240 millimetres (9.4 in), although in the 2010/2011 rainy season a record 731 millimetres (28.8 in) were measured. In 2005, it had a population of 21,378 later increased to 28,843 in 2011, according to the 2011 Namibian Population and Housing Census.

Michelle McLean is a Namibian actress, writer, model, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe 1992 at Thailand. McLean was 19 years old when she was crowned Miss Universe, and became the first Namibian woman to win the title. McLean had been crowned Miss Namibia 1991 prior to Miss Universe, and also placed as the fourth runner-up at Miss World 1991.

The Miss Universe Zambia is a Beauty pageant to select Zambian women to compete in the Miss Universe pageant.

LGBT rights in Namibia

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons in Namibia face legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity is not banned in Namibia, and households headed by same-sex couples are not eligible for the same legal protections available to opposite-sex couples. However, despite the lack of legal rights experienced by Namibian LGBT citizens, acceptance and tolerance of LGBT people is much higher than in most African countries.

Lui Watanabe

Lui Watanabe is a beauty pageant titleholder who represented Japan in Miss World 2007 in China. She was also one of the finalists of the 2008 edition of Miss Universe Japan. She launched her own yoga company Sunroom Yoga in 2011.

Windhoek Afrikaanse Privaatskool, commonly referred to as WAP, is a private school in Windhoek, Namibia. It is the only school which educates its pupils in the Afrikaans medium. Registered since 1995 at the Namibian Ministry of Basic Education, Sport and Culture, it welcomes pupils to grades 1 through 12. Admissions to the institution are based on the prerequisites set by the Constitution of the Republic of Namibia.

Odile Madeline Muller is a Namibian beauty queen from Windhoek. She was crowned Miss Namibia 2010 on July 31, 2010 and became one of the top 25 semifinalists in Miss World 2010.

Janine van Wyk is a South African footballer who plays for Glasgow City and Captains the South Africa women's national team Banyana Banyana. Van Wyk is the highest capped player in South Africa with 170 appearances, and highest capped female in CAF. She plays as defender.

Jan Möhr Secondary School is a school situated in Windhoek, Namibia. The school was founded on March 2, 1962 and is one of the oldest schools in Namibia. The school is known for its excellent academic record. The school has continued to achieve an annual 90% and 60% pass rate for grade 10 and 12 results respectively. The school was originally known as the Windhoek West High School (WHHS) but was later changed to Jan Möhr Secondary School, being named after the then Director of Education Mr JD Mohr. The school's motto is 'Altyd My Beste', which means 'Always My Best' when translated into English.

He is the UPM's current vice-president and former national chairperson. Van Wyk represented the UPM on the Rehoboth Town Council from 2010 to 2015 and was the UPM's sole parliamentary representative before the party formed a pact with the PDM ahead of the 2019 general election.

Clint Brink, is a South African actor. He is best known for his roles in the popular films King Dog, Ellen: Die storie van Ellen Pakkies and Lockdown Heights.
