Steven Anthony Jacobs (born 13 September 1988) is a Guyanese cricketer who plays for the Guyanese national side in West Indian domestic cricket,as well as representing the Guyana Amazon Warriors franchise in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls off spin.
Jacobs was born in Georgetown,the capital of Guyana. [1] He played for the West Indies under-19s at the 2008 Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia,as vice-captain to Shamarh Brooks. [2] At the tournament,Jacobs won two man of the match awards –against Papua New Guinea he scored 101 from 86 balls, [3] while against Ireland he took 3/18 and made 40 not out. [4] He had already made his first-class debut before appearing in the World Cup,playing two matches for Guyana in the 2005–06 Carib Beer Cup,aged 17. [5]
During the 2008–09 season,Jacobs played regularly himself in Guyana's four-day and one-day teams,scoring maiden half-centuries in both forms of the game. However,he fell out of the form the following season,and did not regain a regular position until the 2012–13 season. [5] [6] In the 2012–13 Regional Four Day Competition,Jacobs scored 245 runs,placing him behind only Leon Johnson and Assad Fudadin for Guyana, [7] and also took 17 wickets,behind only Veerasammy Permaul and Devendra Bishoo amongst his teammates. [8] He signed with the Amazon Warriors for the inaugural 2013 Caribbean Premier League season,but has only made sporadic appearances for the team. [9]
On 3 June 2018,he was selected to play for the Vancouver Knights in the players' draft for the inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada tournament. [10] [11]
The Providence Stadium or Guyana National Stadium is a sports stadium in Guyana,replacing Bourda as the national stadium. The stadium was built specifically to host Super Eight matches in the 2007 Cricket World Cup held in March and April 2007.
Sunil Philip Narine is a former Trinidadian cricket player who used to play internationally for the West Indies. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in December 2011 and Test match debut in June 2012. Primarily an off-spin bowler,he is also a left-handed batsman. Regarded as one of the greatest limited overs bowler,Narine was a part of the West Indies team that won the 2012 T20 World Cup,where he took the winning wicket of Lasith Malinga in the final. In November 2023,he announced his retirement from international cricket.
Ray Ricardo Wynter is a former Jamaican cricketer who played first-class and one-day cricket for Jamaica from 1975 until 1982. A right-handed batsman and right-arm opening bowler,he played 30 matches in all in those formats. In 1983,Wynter participated in a rebel tour of South Africa. As a result,he and all the other players on the tour received a lifetime ban from West Indian cricket. Wynter later emigrated to the United States,and played for the U.S. national team at the 1990 ICC Trophy.
Darren Michael Bravo is a Trinidadian cricketer who plays international cricket for the West Indies. A left-handed batsman,his batting style has drawn comparisons with Brian Lara. Bravo is the younger half brother of fellow West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo and his mother is the first cousin of former cricketer Brian Lara. Bravo was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2012 T20 World Cup.
Christopher Mark Brown,commonly known as Chris Brown,is a former Cook Islands cricketer,who previously played representative cricket for Auckland at New Zealand domestic level. Born in Rarotonga,Brown played his early cricket for Auckland under-age teams,and went on to represent the New Zealand national under-19s in several matches as a right-arm fast bowler. Making his first-class debut during the 1993–94 season of the Shell Trophy,he took ten wickets in his debut match,and represented the New Zealand Cricket Academy twice later in the season.
Timil Kaushik Patel is an Indian-born American cricketer. He played with Indian Ranji Trophy team Gujarat from 2002 to 2010. He also played for India Under-19 Team in 2003 that toured England,until he moved to the United States in 2010. Timil also went to Australia in a camp with KKR but was not in the final squad even though he had a fantastic performance. He is right handed-batsman and right arm-leg break bowler.

Nicholas Pooran is a Trinidadian cricketer who currently plays for the West Indies cricket team in limited overs cricket,and he is an occasional captain of the limited overs formats. He also plays for Trinidad and Tobago in West Indian domestic matches and for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL. He made his international debut for the West Indies in September 2016. In May 2022,Pooran was named as the captain of the West Indies team for limited overs cricket. In November 2022,he stepped down as the limited overs captain of the West Indies team.
