Fernando Echávarri Erasun is a professional yachtsman in the Olympic Tornado class. Teaming with crew Antón Paz Blanco, he became the Spanish, European, World Champion, ISAF Sailor of the year in 2005, Olympic gold medallist at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games held in Qingdao.
José Luis Doreste Blanco is a Spanish sailor and Olympic champion. He was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas. He competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, where he won a gold medal in the Finn class. In 1998–99, he was a crewmember on Fortuna Extra Lights in the Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race.

Luis Martínez Doreste is a retired Spanish sailor, who specialized in the Laser class. He placed fourth in his respective category at the 2003 ISAF Sailing World Championships in Cádiz, and also obtained top eleven finishes in two editions of the Olympic Games. Throughout his sporting career, Martinez trained full-time for the Royal Gran Canaria YC in his native Las Palmas under his personal coach Antón Garrote. Coming from a sailing pedigree, Martinez also competed with his brother and 470 sailor Gustavo Martínez Doreste in two Olympics.

Collura trained under the tutelage of his personal coach Alp Alpagut, while sailing separately for two different clubs at his parents' homebases, namely Lahden Purjehdusseura in Lahti and Circolo Vela Torbole in Torbole, Italy.

She captured the gold medal in her signature boat at the 2005 Southeast Asian Games in Manila, Philippines and eventually represented Singapore at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Lo trained throughout her sporting career for the Singapore Sailing Federation, under the tutelage of her personal coach Brett Beyer, a six-time Laser Apprentice Master world champion from Australia.
Anastasiya Igorevna Chernova is a Russian former sailor, who specialized in the Laser Radial class. A two-time national champion, she represented her country Russia at the 2008 Summer Olympics, finishing outside the top 25 in her signature fleet. Serving as a member of the sailing roster at ShVSM Samara, Chernova trained throughout her competitive sporting career under the tutelage of her father Igor Maletin. Currently, she is the head coach of the country's youth sailing squad.
Katarzyna Szotyńska, also known as Katarzyna Deberny, is a Polish former sailor who specialized in the Laser Radial class. She represented her country Poland at the 2008 Summer Olympics and came closest to the medal haul in the final race of her signature fleet, finishing in ninth place. Outside her Olympic career, Szotyńska collected a total of five gold medals in a major international regatta, spanning four editions of the World Championships and the 2005 Summer Universiade in İzmir, Turkey. A senior member of the sailing roster at the University of Warsaw's sport academy, Szotyńska trained most of her competitive sporting career under the tutelage of her personal coach and brother Bartłomiej.
Eftychia "Efi" Mantzaraki is a Greek former sailor, who specialized in the Yngling and Laser Radial classes. She represented the host nation Greece in the three-woman keelboat at the 2004 Summer Olympics, before switching to a single-handed boat on her second trip to Beijing 2008. Mantzaraki trained full-time under her personal coach Christos Chionas, while sailing competitively for Katoikon Vouliagmeni.

While sailing competitively for the national team, Gutiérrez was a member of San Isidro Nautical Club in the outskirts of her hometown Buenos Aires.
Elena Oetling Ramírez is a Mexican sailor, who specialized in the Laser Radial class. She finished fifth in her signature class at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima and was eventually named the country's top female sailor in the single-handed dinghy at the rescheduled 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, sitting distantly in the thirty-second spot. While sailing competitively for the Mexican squad, Oetling trained for the Games at the Vallarta Yacht Club under her personal coach Giorgio Elena.
