Falling Spring is an unincorporated community in Alleghany County, Virginia, United States. The name also applies to Falling Spring Falls, a cascade of water nestled in the Alleghany Highlands. The property of the falls and surrounding acreage was granted in 1780 to Thomas Massie by Thomas Jefferson, then governor of Virginia. Jefferson makes explicit reference to the cascade in his Notes on the State of Virginia in the following terms: "The only remarkable cascade in this country is that of the Falling Springs in Augusta (...) it falls over 200 feet into the valley below.
Schooley's Mountain Historic District is a historic district along Schooley's Mountain, Pleasant Grove, and Flocktown Roads, and Heath Lane in the Schooley's Mountain section of Washington Township, Morris County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 14, 1991 for its significance in architecture, entertainment/recreation, and health/medicine. The district includes 71 contributing buildings, such as the Oak Cottage, site of schoolhouse No. 5, Schooley's Mountain Store, the William W. Marsh House, Christadelphian Bible Camp, the former Heath House Hotel, former Forest Grove Hydropathic Institute, Mine Hill Farm, the Marsh Mine and several private residences and commercial buildings.

Sweet Chalybeate Springs, also known as the Red Sweet Springs, Sweet Chalybeate Hotel and Sweet Chalybeate Springs Lodge, is a historic resort hotel complex located at Sweet Chalybeate, Alleghany County, Virginia. It dates to the 1850s, and consists of a main building, guest ranges, and cottages all fronted with two-level porches. There are a total of eight contributing buildings and one contributing structure. The main building is a gable roof, weatherboarded, frame structure 12 bays long and 2 bays deep. The resort developed around springs flowing undisturbed from the bottom of a small rock bluff. Sweet Chalybeate suffered decline and finally closed its doors in 1918.
