The swimming competitions at the 2019 SEA Games in Manila were held at the New Clark City Aquatics Center from 4 to 9 December 2019. [1] It is one of four aquatic sports at the Games, along with diving, open water swimming, and water polo.
Singapore improved on its last SEA Games result and won over half the available gold medals, 23 out of 38, to be the first in swimming events again with a total of 37 medals. Singapore won all the relay events and set 13 Games records and seven Singaporean national records. Vietnam finished in second with 10 gold medals and 25 medals in total.
A total of 20 Games records and 35 national records were broken.

Jessie Khing Lacuna is a Filipino former competitive swimmer who competed in the freestyle and butterfly events. He had, overall, won 26 Gold medals in Philippine Olympic Games and 7 in SEA Age Group Swimming Championship, he represented the country Philippines in Southeast Asian Games and Asian Games.

Swimming competitions at the 2015 SEA Games was held at the OCBC Aquatic Centre in the Singapore Sports Hub in Kallang, Singapore from 6 to 11 June 2015. Built only a year earlier, the venue is hosting the SEA Games for the first time. It was used to host the second Southeast Asian Swimming Championships in 2014 as a test bed for the organisers, with the 2015 Southeast Asian Games volunteers hired to also volunteer in the 2014 Swimming Championships to help in the familiarisation of the new venue.

A total of 46 athletics events are featured at the 28th SEA Games, divided evenly between the sexes. The marathon started and finished in the stadium and had a route in the surrounding area including the East Coast Park, Marina Bay and the Gardens by the Bay.
Water polo at the 2015 SEA Games was held from 10 to 16 June 2015 at the OCBC Aquatic Centre in Kallang, Singapore. The competition was held in a round-robin format, where the top 3 teams at the end of the competition will win the gold, silver, and bronze medal respectively.
