T. Govindan (11 January 1940 - 23 October 2011) was an Indian politician and a former Member of Lok Sabha who represented the Kasaragod constituency of Kerala thrice in the 11th Lok Sabha, [1] 12th Lok Sabha [2] and 13th Lok Sabha [3] respectively. He was a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He died on 23 October 2011.
Ram Vilas Paswan was an Indian politician from Bihar and the Cabinet Minister of Consumer Affairs,Food and Public Distribution in the first and second Modi ministries. Paswan was also the president of the Lok Janshakti Party,nine-times Lok Sabha member and two-time Rajya Sabha MP. He started his political career as member of Samyukta Socialist Party and was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1969. Later,Paswan joined Lok Dal upon its formation in 1974,and became its general secretary. He opposed the emergency,and was arrested during this period. He first entered the Lok Sabha in 1977,as a Janata Party member from Hajipur constituency,and was elected again in 1980,1989,1991,1996,1998,1999,2004 and 2014.
Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy served as the chief minister of the Indian state of United Andhra Pradesh in 1983 and then from 1992 to 1994. Reddy was a member of the Indian National Congress and was elected to the Lok Sabha six times. Reddy also served as a Union cabinet Minister,along with serving on several parliamentary committees. He lost the 1999 elections and subsequently retired from active politics. Botanical Garden in Hyderabad is named after him.
