Michael De Luca is an American film studio executive, film producer and screenwriter. He is also the former president of production at both New Line Cinema and DreamWorks. De Luca has been nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Picture. De Luca formerly served as the chairman of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Motion Picture Group and currently serves as a co-chairperson and CEO of Warner Bros. Pictures Group.
ABS-CBN Film Productions, Inc., doing business as Star Cinema and also known as ABS-CBN Films, is a Philippine film, television production and distribution company headquartered in Quezon City. It is one of the largest film studios in the Philippines, along with Regal Entertainment, GMA Pictures, and Viva Films. Star Cinema has produced and released most of the highest-grossing Philippine films of all time.
The Cinema of the Philippines began with the introduction of the first moving pictures to the country on August 31, 1897, at the Salón de Pertierra in Manila.
