Torey James DeFalco (born April 10, 1997) is an American professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for JTEKT Stings and the U.S. national team. [1] [2] DeFalco took home a bronze medal at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
Torey DeFalco was raised on a farm in Missouri until the age of nine, when his family moved to California. He attended Huntington Beach High School, where his performance on the volleyball team earned him national attention. [3]
DeFalco is one of seven children. His sister, Teagan, plays beach volleyball for the Washington Huskies. [4]
Recognized as the top recruit in the country, [5] DeFalco enrolled at California State University, Long Beach, where he majored in Consumer Affairs. While at LBSU, he reached the NCAA Final Four all four years (2016–2019) and won the NCAA Championship twice (2018, 2019). He was a two–time AVCA Player of the Year (2017, 2019), the AVCA Newcomer of the Year (2016), and a four–time AVCA First Team All American (2016–2019). He was named Most Outstanding Player of the 2019 NCAA Championships, as well as being named to the NCAA All–Tournament Team three times (2016, 2018, 2019). [6]
In June 2019, DeFalco signed his first professional volleyball contract with the Italian team, Volley Callipo. [7] For the 2021–22 season, he joined AZS Olsztyn. [8] For the 2022–23 PlusLiga season, he signed a contract with Resovia. [9]
DeFalco joined the U.S. National Team in 2015, while he was still in high school. [10] He competed with the national team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Tayyiba Mumtaz Haneef-Park is an American indoor volleyball head coach and former player. She played at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, where the team finished in 5th place. Haneef-Park also competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where she won a silver medal with team USA. After her pregnancy in 2010, she returned to Team USA to repeat their silver medal performance at the 2012 London Olympics. Both times USA lost to Brazil. She is currently the head coach of the San Diego Mojo of the Pro Volleyball Federation.
Ryan Madsen Millar is an American former volleyball player. He was a member of United States national volleyball team from 1998 to 2008, and is a three-time Olympian. He won a gold medal in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, and is a three-time NORCECA Champion.
David Cameron Lee is an American volleyball player, currently working as the head coach for Indian Club, Bengaluru Torpedoes. As a member of the United States men's national volleyball team, he is an Olympic Champion at the 2008 Summer Olympics, an Olympic bronze medalist at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and a three-time Olympian. He is also a two-time NORCECA Champion, a gold medalist at the 2015 World Cup, and a gold medalist of the World League.
Marko Ivović is a Serbian professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for Lokomotiv Novosibirsk and the Serbia national team. He is the 2019 European Champion and the 2016 World League winner with Serbia.
The Long Beach State men's volleyball team is the NCAA Division I men's volleyball team for Long Beach State University. Alan Knipe has been the head coach since 2001, except for three years coaching the United States men's national volleyball team.
Alan Knipe is the head coach of the Long Beach State men's volleyball team. As a player at CSULB, he helped the team reach back-to-back NCAA Men's Volleyball Championships in 1990 and 1991, winning the Championship in 1991. As a head coach, he has guided them to nine NCAA Semifinal appearances and two National Championships. As a player, assistant coach and head coach, Knipe has helped the Long Beach State team to 12 of the program's 14 NCAA Semifinal appearances.
