Pennsylvania Route 248 is a 31.3 mi (50.4 km) long state highway in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The western terminus of the route is at U.S. Route 209 in Weissport East, a CDP in Franklin Township. The eastern terminus is at PA 611 in Easton. The route begins at US 209 in Carbon County and heads southeast parallel to the Lehigh River as a four-lane divided highway to Bowmanstown, where it becomes a freeway and heads through Palmerton. Upon crossing Lehigh Gap in Blue Mountain, PA 248 enters Northampton County and becomes a two-lane undivided highway that heads southeast through rural areas, serving Bath and Nazareth. From here, the route heads southeast through suburban areas to Wilson, where it turns east and follows city streets through Easton.

Deer Leap Falls is the third waterfall located in the George W. Childs Recreation Site, Pike County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located downstream from the Factory Falls and Fulmer Falls on the Dingmans Creek.
East Stroudsburg Area School District is a large, rural public school district located in Monroe and Pike Counties the Poconos of northeast Pennsylvania. Tamiment, first known as Camp Tamiment, was an American resort located in the Pocono Mountains of Pike County, Pennsylvania, which existed from 1921 through 2005. Originally established by the Rand School of Social Science in New York City as a Socialist camp and summer school, Tamiment developed into a regular resort and later fell under private ownership. The Tamiment Playhouse entertained guests with weekly revues and served as a training ground for many prominent Broadway and TV performers and writers. Playhouse alumni have included Danny Kaye, Imogene Coca, Jerome Robbins, Carol Burnett, Woody Allen, Neil Simon, and many others. Tamiment was a popular resort for Jewish singles and has been referred to as "a progressive version of the Catskills" and "a pillar of the Poconos tourist industry."

Millrift is an unincorporated community located in Westfall Township in Pike County, Pennsylvania, United States. Millrift is located at the intersection of Delaware Drive and Bluestone Boulevard on the west bank of the Delaware River, northwest of Matamoras. The first settler in Millrift was James Sawyer, who moved his family from Orange County, New York. The location was where Bushkill Creek meets the Delaware River, and eventually became known as Saw-Mill Rift. The Erie Railroad established a crossover for passing trains at the location and nicknamed it Turnover. The United States Postal Service opened a station there in 1884 under the current name of Mill Rift.
