Self-archiving is the act of depositing a free copy of an electronic document online in order to provide open access to it. The term usually refers to the self-archiving of peer-reviewed research journal and conference articles, as well as theses and book chapters, deposited in the author's own institutional repository or open archive for the purpose of maximizing its accessibility, usage and citation impact. The term green open access has become common in recent years, distinguishing this approach from gold open access, where the journal itself makes the articles publicly available without charge to the reader.

<i>Midwest Studies in Philosophy</i> Academic journal

Midwest Studies in Philosophy is an annual journal in the analytic tradition. It was established in 1976 by Peter French, Theodore Uehling, Jr., and Howard Wettstein at the University of Minnesota, and has been published without interruption since that time. Each volume is an anthology of invited contributions on a particular topic. The journal was published by Wiley from 1999 to 2019 with a SHERPA/RoMEO "yellow" self-archiving policy. The journal is edited by Yuval Avnur, Peter French, and Howard Wettstein and published by the Philosophy Documentation Center.

<i>Notes and Records</i> Academic journal

Notes and Records: the Royal Society Journal of the History of Science is an international, quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal which publishes original research in the history of science, technology, and medicine. Business and Professional Ethics Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal that examines ethical issues in business encountered by professionals working in large organizational structures. Professional Ethics: A Multidisciplinary Journal was a peer-reviewed academic journal that examined ethical issues in the context of the practice of a profession. Established in 1992, the journal published original research on ethics issues in accounting, business, engineering, sports, the military, and other fields. Notable contributors include Carol G. Gould, R. M. Hare, and Daryl Koehn. The journal published special issues in cooperation with professional organizations in several countries, including the Australian Association for Professional and Applied Ethics, Canadian Society for the Study of Practical Ethics, International Association for the Philosophy of Sport, International Colloquium on Military Obedience, Maguire Center for Ethics and Public Responsibility, and the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics. Energy-Safety and Energy-Economy is a peer-reviewed scientific and technical journal covering energy safety and economy, safety regulations, personnel training, innovation, and recent trends in alternative power sources research. The editor-in-chief is Svetlana Zernes. It was established in 2005 as Energy Safety in Documents and Facts Journal, obtaining its current title in 2008.

The Society for Ethics Across the Curriculum (SEAC) is a non-profit learned society based in the United States. Established in 1992, its mission is to stimulate scholarship on ethics and the teaching of ethics in all academic disciplines. The society sponsors the development of ethics-related resources for academic use; holds an annual conference; and produces the scholarly journal Teaching Ethics. Sue Knight is an Australian philosopher, educator and academic whose research focuses on teaching reasoning skills and embedding philosophy within school curricula. She is the author of the Primary Ethics curriculum, which has been offered as an alternative to Scripture in New South Wales public schools for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 since 2010.

The Journal of the Society of Christian Ethics is a biannual peer-reviewed academic journal, sponsored by the Society of Christian Ethics, that examines social, economic, political, and cultural problems within the context of Christian social ethics. It was established in 1981 as The Annual of the Society of Christian Ethics and was reorganized as a journal in 2002. For many years, the journal was published by Georgetown University Press. The Journal of Open Hardware is a peer-reviewed open access scientific journal for open-source hardware development. The Journal publishes Hardware Metapapers which describe open-source research hardware, and is the currently the only scientific journal extending its peer review to hardware documentations hosted on external platforms.
