Cinema of West Bengal, also known as Tollywood or Bengali cinema, is an Indian film industry of Bengali-language motion pictures. It is based in the Tollygunge region of Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The origins of the nickname Tollywood, a portmanteau of the words Tollygunge and Hollywood, dates back to 1932. It was a historically important film industry, at one time the centre of Indian film production. The Bengali film industry is known for producing many of Indian cinema's most critically acclaimed global Parallel Cinema and art films, with several of its filmmakers gaining prominence at the Indian National Film Awards as well as international acclaim.
Tota Roy Chowdhury is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Bengali and Hindi cinema. He is also known for his versatile acting performances, fitness, martial arts and dance moves. His notable roles include Feluda in the web TV series Feluda Pherot based on Satyajit Ray's Feluda series, Chandon Chatterjee in Karan Johar's film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Rohit Sen in Star Jalsha's daily soap Sreemoyee.

Mishawr Rawhoshyo is a 2013 Indian action-adventure film directed by Srijit Mukherji, based on the novel of the same name written by Sunil Gangopadhyay. Dev Entertainment Ventures Pvt Ltd is an Indian movie production and distribution company based in Kolkata. The company was established by Dev and Gurupada Adhikari in 2017. In a short while, it became one of the leading Bengali movie production houses in Eastern India.
Cockpit is an Indian Bengali language romantic thriller film directed by Kamaleshwar Mukherjee and produced by Dev under the banner of Dev Entertainment Ventures. The film features Dev, Koel Mallick and Rukmini Maitra in the lead roles. This is the second time Kamaleshwar Mukherjee and Dev are working as a director-actor duo, after the 2013 film Chander Pahar. The film got positive response from critics and audience and was a box office 'hit'.

Shah Jahan Regency is an Indian Bengali drama film directed by Srijit Mukherji, under the banner of SVF Entertainment Pvt Ltd, starring Abir Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Anjan Dutt, Mamata Shankar, Anirban Bhattacharya, Swastika Mukherjee, Rudranil Ghosh and Rittika Sen while Rituparna Sengupta and Babul Supriyo appear in Guest appearances. The movie, based on the popular novel Chowringhee by Mani Shankar Mukherjee, was released on 18 January 2019.
Bhobishyoter Bhoot is a 2019 Indian Bengali-language satirical comedy film directed by Anik Dutta. The film was released on 15 February 2019. Despite its similar topics, Dutta states that it is not a sequel to his film, Bhooter Bhabishyat (2012). All single and multiple screen theaters were stopped from showing the film immediately after release citing "orders from upper management". Various leading newspapers quoted unnamed sources, as well Dutta, as saying that the West Bengal police had issued these instructions to the theatres.
Password is a 2019 Indian Bengali-language vigilante action thriller film directed by Kamaleswar Mukherjee. The film starring Dev, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Paoli Dam, Rukmini Maitra while Adrit Roy and Trina Saha played supporting roles. The film revolves around the dark side of social networking, and deals with stealing of password and privacy issue.It was released on 2 October 2019. Upon release, the film received critical acclaim, where critics praised the concept, action sequences, visual effects, message, music and cast performances. Despite receiving critical acclaim, the film didn't managed to do well at the box-office.
Ambarish Bhattacharya is a Bengali actor and comedian. He started his career through performing at Bengali theatre and stage. He made his television debut in the 2007 playing the character Gaja in Raja & Gaja. He has acted in numerous TV soap operas and Bengali films.
Robindronath Ekhane Kawkhono Khete Aashenni is a Bengali web series based on the thriller novel of the same name written by Bangladeshi writer Mohammad Nazim Uddin. The series has been released on West Bengal-based Bengali language OTT platform Hoichoi. It is directed by Indian director Srijit Mukherji. This is the second complete web series directed by Srijit Mukherji and his first work in Hoichoi. Initially, shooting was planned in both countries with the participation of several actors from Bangladesh and India, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, shooting was done only in India. However, Azmeri Haque Badhon is the only Bangladeshi playing the central character "Mushkan Zuberi".
Oti Uttam is a 2024 Indian Bengali-language fantasy romantic comedy film written, co-produced and directed by Srijit Mukherji under Camellia Productions and Matchcut Productions. Veteran Bengali actor Uttam Kumar appears in the screen through Visual effects from his existing clippings from his various films. His character was built by the scenes of his 56 existing old movies.
Kishmish (transl. Raisins) is a 2022 Indian Bengali-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Rahool Mukherjee. This film is jointly produced by Dev Entertainment Ventures and M. K. Media. The film stars Dev and Rukmini Maitra. The supporting cast includes Kharaj Mukherjee, Anjana Basu, June Malia and Kamaleshwar Mukherjee.
Pradhan is a 2023 Bengali language socio-political action drama film directed by Avijit Sen. The film stars Dev, Anirban Chakrabarti, Paran Bandyopadhyay, Soham Chakraborty and Soumitrisha Kundu in the lead roles. The action sequences in this film are designed by Aejaz Gulab. This film marks the third collaboration between Sen and Dev after the blockbusters Tonic and Projapoti. It is produced by Dev, Atanu Raychaudhuri and Pranab Kumar Guha under Dev Entertainment Ventures and Bengal Talkies.
Boomerang is an Indian Bengali-language science fiction action comedy film directed by Sauvik Kundu. Produced by Jeet under the banner of Jeetz Filmworks and Grassroot Entertainment, it stars Jeet and Rukmini Maitra, both portraying dual roles. Sourav Das, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Kharaj Mukherjee and Rajatava Dutta play other pivotal roles.
