Telekom Baku (formerly named Rabita Baku) was an Azerbaijani women's volleyball club. Telekom was an eight-time champion of Azerbaijani Superleague and the winner of the 2011 FIVB Club World Championship. [1] [2]
The Rabita Bank was founded in 2001 as Rabitachi Baku, and then took Rabita Baku in 2004. Club participated for the first time in an official competition in the European CEV Cup 2007–08, but was eliminated immediately by OK Hit Nova Gorica.
In the season 2008–09, reaches the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup and was eliminated from the Club Voleibol Albacete and wins for the first time the championship in the final against Azerrail. The season 2009-10 campaign starts with a good buy: the team wins the championship again and get the third place in the CEV Cup, losing in the semifinals against Futura Volley Busto Arsizio, but winning the final for bronze against VC Uralochka-NTMK Yekaterinburg.
In the season 2010 - 11, club participated for the first time in the Women's CEV Champions League and reached final of this competition, just losing to VakıfBank of Turkey. [3]
Rabita hosted the 2013–14 CEV Champions League Final Four, [4] there the club won the Bronze medal after falling 0–3 to the Russian Dinamo Kazan in the semifinals, [5] but defeating 3–0 to the Turkish Eczacıbaşı VitrA Istanbul in the third place match. [6]
After eight Azerbaijani Superleague titles, in 2015 Rabita Baku merged with Telekom Baku adopting the name of the latter, [7] due to financial difficulties but retained the commitments in the Azerbaijani Superleague and the 2015–16 CEV Champions League and transferring to the new team the Telekom young players. Katarzyna Ewa Skowrońska-Dolata is a former Polish volleyball player, a member of Poland women's national volleyball team and Italian club Foppapedretti Bergamo, double European Champion, gold medalist of Italian, Turkish, Chinese and Azeri national championships.
Yekaterina Aleksandrovna Gamova is a retired Russian volleyball player. She was a member of the Russian national team that won the gold medals at the 2006 and 2010 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championships, and the silver medal in both the Athens 2004 and Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Due to her stature and dominance at the net, she has been hailed as the "Queen of Volleyball". She is 2.02 m tall with EU size 49 feet, making her one of the tallest female athletes in the world. She is also the second highest paid female player in professional volleyball history. Her role was outside hitter/opposite.
Angelina Grün is a German former volleyball player, who was a member of the German Women's Team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Grün also competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.
Naz Aydemir Akyol is a Turkish volleyball player. She plays as setter for Eczacıbaşı Dynavit and the Turkey women's national volleyball team. She has won a total of nine Turkish League championships, four with Vakıfbank, three with Eczacıbaşı and two with Fenerbahçe. She has four CEV Champions League championships, winning three with Vakıfbank and one with Fenerbahçe. She also has three FIVB Club World Championship, winning two with Vakıfbank and one with Fenerbahçe. She was part of the Turkey national team at the 2012 and 2020 Summer Olympics.
Áurea Esther "Aury" Cruz Dalmau is an indoor and beach volleyball player from Puerto Rico who currently plays for the Orlando Valkyries of the Pro Volleyball Federation. She is best known for competing for the Puerto Rico national team at the 2008 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan, where she was named Best Server at the event.
Brenda Castillo is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic and plays as a libero. She was a member of the Dominican Republic national team that won fifth place in the 2012 Summer Olympics, while she was named the tournament's Best Libero. She played in the 2014 World Championship reaching also the fifth place and ranking 17th in the 2010 World Championship and the 2011 FIVB World Cup where her national team ranked eight and the 2015 FIVB World Cup, winning the Best Libero individual award and ranking in seventh place.
Jelena Nikolić-Nenadiċ is a retired Serbian professional volleyball player, playing as a wing-spiker. She was a member of the Women's National Team that won silver medal at the 2016 Olympics and gold medal at the 2011 European Championship in Serbia.
Nataša Krsmanović is a Serbian volleyball player, who plays as a middle-blocker for Seramiksan in Turkish Women's Volleyball League. She was a member of the national teams that won the silver medal at the 2007 European Championship and competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.
Maja Poljak is a Croatian volleyball player. She plays as middle blocker for Dinamo Moscow. She was a member of the Women's National Team that won the silver medal at the 1999 European Championship in Italy.
Natalya Aleksandrovna Mammadova is a retired Ukrainian and Azerbaijani volleyball player. Natalya played as an outside hitter and is widely recognized as one of the best players of her generation, as well as the most successful Azerbaijani volleyball player. Natalya represented Azerbaijan national team from 2004 until 2018 and is one of the most capped players in the history of the country. She announced her retirement from volleyball in May 2021.

Jordan Quinn Larson is an American volleyball player and a three-time Olympic medalist. Larson won gold with the national team at the 2014 World Championship, the Rimini Volleyball Nations League, and the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, silver at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, and bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Her 2020 gold medal meant that she had completed the rare trifecta of winning Olympic bronze, silver, and gold medals.

She won the Best Server award of the 2013–14 CEV Champions League and won the title with the Russian club Dinamo Kazan.
The CEV Champions League was the highest level of European club volleyball in the 2013–14 season and the 55th edition. It ran from 22 October 2013 until 16 March 2014.
