Nias is an island located off the western coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. Nias is also the name of the archipelago of which the island is the centre, but also includes the Batu Islands to the south-east and the small Hinako Islands to the west. Nias Island covers an area of 5,625.0 km2 (2,171.8 sq mi). It is mostly a lowland area rising to around 800 m (2,600 ft) above sea level. There were 756,338 inhabitants on the island at the 2010 Census; at the 2015 Intermediate Census this had risen to 798,506 and the 2020 Census resulted in a total of 880,550. The official estimate as at mid 2022 was 902,632.
Simeulue Regency is a regency in the Aceh special region of Indonesia. It occupies the whole island of Simeulue, 150 km off the west coast of Sumatra, with an area of 1,838.10 square kilometres. It had a population of 80,674 at the 2010 census and 92,865 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 97,118.
West Aceh Regency is a regency in the Aceh special region of Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. The regency formerly covered a much larger area, but on 4 October 1999 the island districts of Simeulue were separated out to form their own regency, and on 10 April 2002 two additional regencies - Aceh Jaya and Nagan Raya - were created from parts of West Aceh; the residual regency currently covers an area of 2,927.95 square kilometres and had a population of 173,558 at the 2010 Census and 198,736 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 205,108.
Teluk Dalam is a town and district in the South Nias Regency, North Sumatra province, Indonesia. Following the splitting off of parts of the original district to form new districts, it is now mainly confined to the town, and its area is now 41.30 km2 (15.95 sq mi). In English, Teluk Dalam means "Deep Bay". As of mid 2021, Telukdalam had a population of 25,780 and a population density of 624.2/km2. Telukdalam has various tourist sites, such as Sorake Beach, Lagundri Beach and Bawömataluo which hosts Nias traditional houses of hundred years ago.
Kuantan Singingi is a regency (kabupaten) of Riau, Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. The regency was created on 4 October 1999 from what had been the western half of Indragiri Hulu Regency. It has an area of 7,656.03 km² and had a population of 292,116 at the 2010 Census and 334,943 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 345,850. The seat of the regency is the town of Teluk Kuantan.
Tanah Bumbu is one of the regencies in the Indonesian province of South Kalimantan. It was formerly part of Kotabaru Regency, but was split off on 25 February 2003 to form a separate regency, following dissatisfaction on the Kalimantan mainland territories with administration from Laut Island. Kutai Kartanegara Regency is a regency of East Kalimantan province, Indonesia. It has a land area of 27,263.10 km2 and a water area of 4,097 km2, geographically located between 1°18′40″S and 116°31′36″E. The population of the regency was 626,286 at the 2010 Census and 729,382 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 738,189. The town of Tenggarong is the capital of the regency.
Nias Selatan Regency is a regency in North Sumatra province, Indonesia, created on 25 February 2003 by the division of the existing Nias Regency. The regency covers a land area of 2,487.99 square kilometres and according to the 2010 census had a population of 289,708; the 2020 Census showed a population of 360,531, while the official estimate for mid 2022 was 373,674. Its administrative centre is the port of Teluk Dalam. Apart from the southern portion of Nias Island, the regency also includes the smaller Batu Islands to the south, lying between Nias and Siberut; these islands occupy nearly half of the land area of the Regency, but have just 9% of its population.

Paniai Regency is one of the regencies (kabupaten) in Central Papua Province of Indonesia. It is named after the Paniai Lakes. It covers an area of 6,525.25 km2, and had a population of 153,432 at the 2010 Census and 220,410 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as of mid-2022 was 227,254 - comprising 124,260 males and 102,994 females. The administrative centre is the town of Enarotali, in East Paniai.
Teluk Bintuni Regency or Bintuni Bay Regency is a regency of West Papua Province of Indonesia. It covers an area of 18,637 km2, comprising administrative districts on three sides of Bintuni Bay, a gulf that separates the Bird's Head Peninsula and Bomberai Peninsula which together form the main geographical constituents of the province; it had a population of 52,422 at the 2010 Census and 87,083 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 92,236. The administrative centre is the town of Bintuni.
Teluk Wondama Regency or Wondama Bay Regency is a regency of West Papua province of Indonesia. The Regency contains several coastal districts in the east part of the Regency, partly on the Papuan mainland but also including a number of islands in the southwest part of Cenderawasih Bay. It covers a land area of 4,843.99 km2, and had a population of 26,321 at the 2010 Census and 41,644 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 43,746. The administrative centre lies in the village of Rasiei.

Salang is a district of the Simeulue Regency on Simeulue island in the Indonesian province of Aceh. At the 2010 Census it had a total population of 7,625 people, which by mid 2023 had increased to 9,222.
Simeulue Barat is a district of the Simeulue Regency on Simeulue in the Indonesian province of Aceh. At the 2010 Census it had a total population of 10,024 people, which by mid 2023 had grown to an officially estimate total of 12,302.
Simeulue Tengah is a district of the Simeulue Regency on Simeulue island in the Indonesian province of Aceh. At the 2010 Census it had a total population of 9,010 people, living in 1,930 households in 2005. Following the splitting off of eight villages (kampong) to form a separate Simeulue Cut district in 2012, the reduced Simeulue Tengah District covers 112.48 km2 and had a population of 7,647 in mid 2023.

At the 2010 census, it had a total population of 28,931 people, living in 4,334 households in 2005. In 2020, after being reduced in 2012, it covered 175.97 km2 and had a population of 27,569 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 28,830.
Teupah Selatan is a district (Kecamatan) of the Simeulue Regency on Simeulue island in the Indonesian province of Aceh. As of 2020 it had a total population of 9,030 people. while the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 9,444.
Teupah Barat is a district of the Simeulue Regency on Simeulue island in the Indonesian province of Aceh. As at mid 2023 it had an officially estimated population of 8,378.
