Terry Malone is an American football coach.

Playing career

Born in Buffalo, New York and raised in Redford, Michigan, Malone played four seasons as a tight end [1] at Holy Cross, [2] where he was the Crusaders' captain during his senior season. He also earned a bachelor's degree in history. [3]

Coaching career

Early coaching career

Malone began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Arizona in 1983 before moving on to his alma mater, Holy Cross, in 1985 to coach tight ends. He served as offensive line coach, tight ends coach, and offensive coordinator at Bowling Green from 1986-1995, where he was a part of two Mid-American Conference championships. He also spent the 1996 season as the offensive line coach at Boston College.

Michigan

Malone was the offensive line coach at Michigan from 1997 to 2005. He took over the offensive coordinator role in 2002

Saints

Originally going to the New England Patriots, Malone was hired away by Sean Payton, [4] and became a part of his coaching staff in 2006 and helped the Saints capture their lone Super Bowl title in 2009. [5] He left after the 2014 season. [6] [7]

Purdue

Malone was hired February 22, 2015, [8] to coach tight ends at Purdue. On Dec. 22, 2015 [9] he was promoted to Offensive Coordinator after the team fired John Shoop. [10] However he only lasted in that role for one season.

Jeff Davidson is an American professional football coach and former player in the National Football League (NFL). He was the offensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers and Cleveland Browns.

Mike DeBord is an American football coach who was most recently the offensive coordinator at the University of Kansas. He was previously the offensive coordinator of the San Diego Fleet of the Alliance of American Football (AAF), and was the associate head coach and offensive coordinator at Indiana University prior to joining the AAF. DeBord was the head football coach at Central Michigan University from 2000 to 2003, compiling a record of 12–34. He worked as an assistant coach at the University of Michigan for a total of 11 seasons, from 1993 to 1999 and again from 2004 to 2007. He was the offensive coordinator for the Michigan Wolverines for five seasons including Michigan's 1997 campaign, in which the team won part of a national championship. DeBord has also worked as an assistant coach in the National Football League (NFL), with the Seattle Seahawks (2008–2009) and the Chicago Bears (2010–2012).

Brennan Carroll is an American football coach. He is the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the University of Washington, a position he has held since 2024. He is the son of former New York Jets, New England Patriots, USC, and Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and the brother of Carolina Panthers passing game coordinator Nate Carroll.

Claude Neil Callaway is an American college football coach and former player who was most recently the offensive line coach for the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League (UFL). Callaway served as the head football coach at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) from 2007 to 2011, compiling a record of 18–42. A 1974 graduate of Central High School in Macon, Georgia, he played collegiately at the University of Alabama for coach Bear Bryant as a lineman and linebacker before graduating in 1978.

He served 15 non-consecutive seasons as an assistant coach with the New England Patriots, including six seasons as the defensive coordinator from 2012 to 2017. During Patricia's tenure as defensive coordinator, the Patriots won two Super Bowls and allowed the fewest points in 2016. Patricia also served as the Patriots' offensive playcaller in 2022. Outside of New England, Patricia was the head coach of the Detroit Lions from 2018 to 2020. He last served as a senior defensive assistant for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023, holding defensive playcalling duties near the end of the season.

Benjamin Lee McAdoo is an American football coach who is currently serving as a senior offensive assistant of the New England Patriots in the National Football League (NFL). McAdoo was most notably the head coach of the New York Giants from 2016 to 2017, after serving as their offensive coordinator the previous two years under former head coach Tom Coughlin. He was fired from that position on December 4, 2017 following a 2–10 start, along with benching longtime starting quarterback Eli Manning. At the time of his termination, his 28 regular season games were the fewest by a Giants coach since 1930. Prior to working for the Patriots, McAdoo had also served as an assistant coach for several college football teams, as well as for the New Orleans Saints, the San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Carolina Panthers.

Brian Ferentz is an American football coach and former player. Following his collegiate career at the University of Iowa, as an offensive lineman, Ferentz was in the NFL for the Atlanta Falcons in 2006 and New Orleans Saints in 2007. Following his playing career, Ferentz began a coaching tenure. Ferentz coached in the NFL for the New England Patriots from 2008 to 2011. Serving as the tight ends coach for the Patriots in 2011, Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski set NFL records for receptions, yards, and touchdowns by tight ends, and Gronkowski became the first tight end in NFL history to lead the league in touchdown receptions. Ferentz then began a coaching tenure at Iowa in 2012.

Eric Anthony Mangini is a former American football coach and current television sports analyst. Mangini is a former head coach, having served as the coach of the New York Jets from 2006 until 2008 and the Cleveland Browns in 2009 until 2010. After departing Cleveland, Mangini became an NFL analyst for ESPN. He returned to coaching with the San Francisco 49ers, starting in 2013 as the team's tight ends coach before being promoted to defensive coordinator in 2015, only to be fired in 2016 by new head coach Chip Kelly. Mangini then became an analyst for Fox Sports 1.

Bob Bicknell is an American football coach and former player who is the tight ends coach for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the senior offensive assistant for the New Orleans Saints from 2022 to 2023 and as the wide receivers coach for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2018 to 2020. Bicknell is the son of former Boston College head coach Jack Bicknell and the younger brother of Jack Bicknell, Jr., the current assistant offensive line coach for Wisconsin.

George Robert Godsey is an American football coach and former player who is the tight ends coach for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as an assistant coach for the Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans and New England Patriots, and as the co-offensive coordinator and sole offensive coordinator for the Dolphins and Texans, respectively.

William Lawing is an American football coach who is the offensive coordinator and tight ends coach for Boston College of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). He previously served as an assistant coach at Penn State University and Juniata College. Lawing served with Bill O'Brien in various assistant coaching roles since 2014, including roles with the Houston Texans, Alabama Crimson Tide, New England Patriots, and Boston College Eagles.
