District 35 is a district in the Texas House of Representatives. It was created in the 3rd Legislature (1849-1851). [1]

The district comprises portions of Cameron and Hidalgo counties. [2] [3] It also includes the cities and Census-designated places of La Feria, San Benito, Duffing, La Homa, La Joya, Penitas, and a small percentage of Brownsville. [4] It has been represented by Oscar Longoria since 2013. [5]

James Dell Talarico is an American politician and former teacher. He was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2018 to represent District 52, which includes the cities of Round Rock, Taylor, Hutto, and Georgetown in Williamson County. Following the 2020 redistricting cycle, Talarico announced his run for a seat in District 50 in 2022. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
