The 1920 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the VII Olympiad and commonly known as Antwerp 1920, were an international multi-sport event held in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium.
William Patrick "Parry" O'Brien was an American shot put champion. He competed in four consecutive Summer Olympics where he won two gold medals and one silver medal (1960). In his last Olympic competition (1964) he placed fourth. For all of these accomplishments, O'Brien was inducted into the IAAF and U.S. Olympic halls of fame.
Knud Lundberg was a Danish multi-talented sportsperson, who most notably won a bronze medal with the Denmark national football team at the 1948 Summer Olympics. He represented the Danish national team in football, handball and basketball, and he won the Danish national championship in all three disciplines. He played his footballing career at Akademisk Boldklub.
Antoni Jan Szymanowski is a former Polish football right-back, and a member of the Poland national football team in two FIFA World Cups: 1974 and 1978. During those tournaments his club was Wisła Kraków. Szymanowski was one of the best defenders in Poland during the golden era of Polish football. In the later years of his career he played for the Belgian team Club Brugge KV. Currently he is a manager of Przebój Wolbrom - the club playing in Polish IV Liga. He has also a brother who was a footballer as well.
AS Adema 149–0 SO l'Emyrne was a football match played on 31 October 2002 between two teams in Toamasina, Madagascar. It holds the world record for the highest scoreline in any football match, recognised by The Guinness Book of Records. SO l'Emyrne (SOE) intentionally lost the game against their arch-rivals AS Adema in a pre-planned protest over refereeing decisions that had gone against them during a previous four-team playoff tournament. By some considerable margin, the match surpassed the previous-highest scoreline when Arbroath beat Bon Accord 36–0 in the Scottish Cup in 1885. As of 2023, that match remains the largest victory margin in a legitimate game.
