Decade is a compilation album by Canadian-American musician Neil Young, originally released in 1977 as a triple album and later issued on two compact discs. It contains 35 of Young's songs recorded between 1966 and 1976, among them five tracks that had been unreleased up to that point. It peaked at No. 43 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart, and was certified platinum by the RIAA in 1986.
Daryl Hall and John Oates, commonly known as Hall & Oates, are an American pop rock duo formed in Philadelphia in 1970. Daryl Hall is generally the lead vocalist; John Oates primarily plays electric guitar and provides backing vocals. The two write most of the songs they perform, separately or in collaboration. They achieved their greatest fame from the mid-1970s to the late 1980s with a fusion of rock and roll, soul music, and rhythm and blues.
The Donnas were an American rock band formed in Palo Alto, California, in 1993. The band consisted of Brett Anderson, Allison Robertson, Maya Ford and Torry Castellano. Amy Cesari replaced Castellano, who left the band in 2009 due to tendonitis. They drew inspiration from the Ramones, The Runaways, Girlschool, AC/DC, Bachman–Turner Overdrive and Kiss. Rolling Stone has stated that "the Donnas offer a guileless take on adolescent alienation; they traffic in kicks, not catharsis, fun rather than rage". MTV has stated that the band offers "a good old-fashioned rock & roll party".
John William Oates is an American musician, best known as half of the rock and soul duo Hall & Oates, with Daryl Hall. He has played rock, R&B, and soul music, acting as a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and record producer.

"Someday We'll Know" is a song by the New Radicals. It was released in March 1999 as the second single off their album Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too (1998). Lyrically, the song explores the confusion over why a relationship ended. The group dissolved before the single's release, and as a result the song failed to match the success of the preceding single, "You Get What You Give", which had topped the charts in New Zealand and Canada and peaked within the top 5 in the United Kingdom. In contrast, "Someday We'll Know" became a top 40 hit only in Brazil where it made Number 38, and failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is the group's second and final single, and has been covered by numerous artists, including Mandy Moore & Jon Foreman of Switchfoot and Hall & Oates.
Soulsation! is a 4-CD box set of music recorded by The Jackson 5 during their tenure at Motown Records from 1969 to 1975, when they left Motown for CBS Records. The box set was released in 1995 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Jackson 5 becoming the first group to have its first four singles go straight to #1 on the US Billboard charts. Soulsation! included an introduction from the group's youngest sister Janet, liner notes from David Ritz and an essay from the brothers' first producer, Bobby Taylor. The fourth disc features 17 previously unreleased songs, most recorded from mid-1969 to early 1972. The set also includes solo numbers from brothers Michael, Jermaine, and Jackie.
Abandoned Luncheonette, released in 1973, is the second album by the American pop rock duo Daryl Hall & John Oates. It combines folk, Philly soul, and acoustic soul. It is the most commercially successful of their Atlantic Records period; the album reached #33 on the Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart and featured one of their first major hits, "She's Gone", which found success after a 1976 reissue. Twenty-nine years after its release, the album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

No Goodbyes is a 1977 collection by Hall & Oates. It is a "Best of" compilation of their first three Atlantic Records recordings. No Goodbyes was released after the duo left Atlantic and joined RCA Records, and after Atlantic had achieved a Top 10 hit with a re-release of "She's Gone". It contains three new songs: "It's Uncanny," "I Want to Know You for a Long Time," and "Love You Like a Brother." The latter two of these were later released on The Atlantic Collection. "It's Uncanny" was released as a single upon this album's release but failed to break the Billboard Top 40, reaching only #80. "Love You Like a Brother" was re-released on the 2009 four-disc box set Do What You Want, Be What You Are, as was "It's Uncanny."

Behind the Music is a TV series that aired on VH1 and this compilation was released in connection with a Hall & Oates episode. It features 3 new studio tracks and a few new live recordings. Two of the three new songs were recorded for Hall & Oates next album, Do It For Love. It also features an acoustic re-recording of "Someone Like You" from Hall's 1986 solo album Three Hearts in the Happy Ending Machine.

Greatest Hits is a 2009 compilation album by British singer Samantha Fox. It was conceived and developed by British music producer, Carl M Cox, who approached Sony Music with the idea of releasing a definitive hits collection, having discovered a number of unreleased recordings at Pete Waterman's PWL studios to include with material from Fox's first four albums with Jive Records as well as her more recent recordings from the 1990s and early 2000s. Further research by Cox and his Prolific Media Group team unearthed more unreleased recordings held within the BMG archives, some of which were released for the first time on this album.
