The Changes of Life is an album by pianist Jaki Byard, with bassist Ralph Hamperian, and drummer Richard Allen.
The album was recorded in January 1996. [2] Most of the tracks are ballads. [1] Byard's "Family Suite" composition was previously recorded for the album Family Man . [1]
Here Comes the Whistleman is a live album by jazz multi-instrumentalist Roland Kirk recorded in March 1965 at Atlantic Studios in New York, and released in 1967. It was his first release on the Atlantic label and features performances by Kirk with pianists Lonnie Liston Smith and Jaki Byard, bassist Major Holley and drummer Charles Crosby.
Far Cry is a jazz album by musician Eric Dolphy with trumpeter Booker Little, originally released in 1962 on New Jazz, a subsidiary of the Prestige label. Featuring their co-led quintet, it is one of the few studio recordings of their partnership. It is also one of the earliest appearances of bassist Ron Carter on record.
