The Film is the first video album by Japanese duo Yoasobi. It was released on March 23, 2022, through Sony Music Entertainment Japan, on Blu-ray exclusively. It consists of the duo's 2021 three concerts: Keep Out Theater, Sing Your World, and Nice to Meet You (day 2); and the enlarged version of their episode of documentary program Jōnetsu Tairiku , broadcast in December 2021. The Film debuted atop both the Oricon Blu-ray Disc Chart, and the Music DVD and Blu-ray Chart, selling 21,000 copies in its first week. [1]
On January 26, 2022, Yoasobi announced to release the video album, titled The Film, on March 23. It contains two Blu-ray discs on bookbinder of the duo's three concert films–the first livestream concert, Keep Out Theater; the collaboration with Uniqlo's UT free livestream concert, Sing Your World; and the second day of their first in-person concert Nice to Meet You, as well as unreleased footage from for the Yoasobi episode of Jōnetsu Tairiku , a MBS TV documentary program which aired on December 12, 2021. It also included a photobook taken during the concerts. [2] [3]
To commemorate the release, the duo teased three concerts by four performances uploaded via YouTube: "Ano Yume o Nazotte" from Keep Out Theater on February 15, [4] "Gunjō" from Sing Your World on March 1, [5] and "Moshi mo Inochi ga Egaketara" and "Tsubame" from Nice to Meet You on March 8 and 23, respectively. The Moritaka Tour 1991.8.22 at Shibuya Public Hall is a live video by Japanese singer-songwriter Chisato Moritaka. Mari Hamada 35th Anniversary Live "Gracia" at Budokan is a live video by Japanese singer/songwriter Mari Hamada, released on December 18, 2019 by Victor Entertainment. Recorded live on April 19, 2019 as the final show of Hamada's 35th anniversary Gracia tour, the video marked her first show at the Nippon Budokan since the Return to Myself tour in 1989. Mr. Big bassist Billy Sheehan made a special guest appearance on the show. The concert was originally broadcast on WOWOW on July 27. The video was released on Blu-ray and DVD formats; each packaged with a photobook.
Yoasobi is a Japanese pop duo formed in 2019 by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. It is composed of Vocaloid producer Ayase and singer-songwriter Lilas Ikuta, under the moniker Ikura. Represented by the slogan "novel into music", the duo originally released songs based on selected short stories posted on Monogatary.com, a social media website for creative writing operated by the label. Sources later also come from various media like stories written by professional authors, books, letters, plays, etc.
Kono Machi Tour 2019 is a live video by Japanese singer-songwriter Chisato Moritaka. Recorded live at the Kumamoto-jō Hall in Kumamoto on December 8, 2019, the video was released on August 26, 2020, by Warner Music Japan on Blu-ray and DVD formats. A limited edition box set includes a photobook, two audio CDs of the concert, and a bonus documentary video with Moritaka visiting famous tourist attractions during the tour. The Denkōsekka Arena Tour was the first headlining concert tour by Japanese duo Yoasobi. The all-arena fourteen-show tour began on April 5, 2023, at Nagoya, Japan and concluded on June 24 in Yokohama. The shows received total 130,000 attendees.
"Adventure" is a song by Japanese duo Yoasobi from their third EP, The Book 3 (2023). It was released as a single on February 15, 2023, by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. Written by Ayase, the song is a theme for 2023 Universal Studios Japan's campaign Unibaru, based on Nagi's short story Lens Goshi no Kirameki o. Its accompanying music video, showing an animated girl dancing in the theme park, premiered on March 11. Commercially, "Adventure" peaked at number 48 on the Oricon Combined Singles and number 30 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100.
Pop Out Zepp Tour was the third headlining concert tour by Japanese duo Yoasobi in support of their third extended play The Book 3. It began on January 25, 2024, in Tokyo, and concluded on March 9 in Nagoya, comprising twelve shows at Zepp venues across Japan. The concert featured immersive 3D display by wearing 3D glasses, and received total 25,000 attendees.
The Film 2 is the second video album by Japanese duo Yoasobi. It was released on Blu-ray exclusively on April 10, 2024, through Sony Music Entertainment Japan. Similar to the previous video album The Film (2022), the video album contains the selected 2023–2024 live performances from three concert tours—the Denkōsekka Arena Tour in Saitama, the Asia Tour 2023–2024 in Seoul, and the Pop Out Zepp Tour in Tokyo—as well as their documentary about the tours. Commercially, The Film 2 topped the Oricon Blu-ray Disc Chart with 16,751 copies.
Live Tour: Continues is the fourth live video album by Japanese singer-songwriter and musician Gen Hoshino. It was released on January 10, 2018, via Speedstar Records in DVD and Blu-ray formats. The album is a video release of the final show of Hoshino's Continues live tour, filmed at the Saitama Super Arena from September 9 to 10, 2017. The second disc includes the original tour documentary To Be Continue(s), following Hoshino throughout the tour's behind-the-scenes.
