The Film is the first video album by Japanese duo Yoasobi. It was released on March 23, 2022, through Sony Music Entertainment Japan, on Blu-ray exclusively. It consists of the duo's 2021 three concerts: Keep Out Theater, Sing Your World, and Nice to Meet You (day 2); and the enlarged version of their episode of documentary program Jōnetsu Tairiku , broadcast in December 2021. The Film debuted atop both the Oricon Blu-ray Disc Chart, and the Music DVD and Blu-ray Chart, selling 21,000 copies in its first week. [1]

Background and release

On January 26, 2022, Yoasobi announced to release the video album, titled The Film, on March 23. It contains two Blu-ray discs on bookbinder of the duo's three concert films–the first livestream concert, Keep Out Theater; the collaboration with Uniqlo's UT free livestream concert, Sing Your World; and the second day of their first in-person concert Nice to Meet You, as well as unreleased footage from for the Yoasobi episode of Jōnetsu Tairiku , a MBS TV documentary program which aired on December 12, 2021. It also included a photobook taken during the concerts. [2] [3]

To commemorate the release, the duo teased three concerts by four performances uploaded via YouTube: "Ano Yume o Nazotte" from Keep Out Theater on February 15, [4] "Gunjō" from Sing Your World on March 1, [5] and "Moshi mo Inochi ga Egaketara" and "Tsubame" from Nice to Meet You on March 8 and 23, respectively. Yoasobi is a Japanese pop duo formed in 2019 by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. It is composed of Vocaloid producer Ayase and singer-songwriter Lilas Ikuta, under the moniker Ikura. Represented by the slogan "novel into music", the duo originally released songs based on selected short stories posted on Monogatary.com, a social media website for creative writing operated by the label. Sources later also come from various media like stories written by professional authors, books, letters, plays, etc.

"Adventure" is a song by Japanese duo Yoasobi from their third extended play, The Book 3 (2023). It was released as a single on February 15, 2023, by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. Written by Ayase, the song is a theme for 2023 Universal Studios Japan's campaign Unibaru, based on Nagi's short story Lens Goshi no Kirameki o. Its accompanying music video, showing an animated girl dancing in the theme park, premiered on March 11. Commercially, "Adventure" peaked at number 48 on the Oricon Combined Singles and number 30 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100.

Pop Out Zepp Tour was the third headlining concert tour by Japanese duo Yoasobi in support of their third extended play The Book 3. It began on January 25, 2024, in Tokyo, and concluded on March 9 in Nagoya, comprising twelve shows at Zepp venues across Japan. The concert featured 3D display by wearing 3D glasses, and received total 25,000 attendees.

Similar to the previous The Film (2022), the video album contains the selected 2023–2024 performances of the Denkōsekka Arena Tour in Saitama, the Asia Tour 2023–2024 in Seoul, and the Pop Out Zepp Tour in Tokyo, and their documentary about tours.
