Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim is a 2003 action role-playing game developed by Nihon Falcom. It was first released for Windows before being ported by Konami to the PlayStation 2 in 2005 and the PlayStation Portable in 2006. It was the first English release of the series since Ys III: Wanderers from Ys, and the first to make it to Europe since the Master System version of Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished, the European version also being the first game in the series to be localized to western languages other than English. An English localization of the Windows version was released by Xseed Games in 2015. Ys VI was used as a base for Ys VI Mobile, a free-to-play MMORPG released in Japan in 2021 and worldwide in 2022.
Star Ocean: The Second Story, known in Japan as Star Ocean: Second Story, is an action role-playing video game developed by tri-Ace and published by Enix for the PlayStation. It is the second game in the Star Ocean series and the first game in the series to be released outside Japan, arriving in North America in June 1999 and Europe in April 2000, by Sony Computer Entertainment. Taking place in a science fantasy universe, the story centers around a young man named Claude C. Kenny, a cadet from a space-faring Earth organization who is stranded on an undeveloped, medieval-level planet. There, he meets several companions and must stop a plot from an evil organization that spans multiple worlds before finding his way home. The game was the basis of manga and anime adaptations.
Brandish is an action role-playing game by Nihon Falcom. Originally released in 1991 for the NEC PC-9801 and FM Towns, it was later ported to the Super NES and PC Engine CD-ROM² in the mid 1990s, including an expanded re-release titled Brandish Renewal. The game was the first in the Brandish series and was followed by three sequels. A remake, Brandish: The Dark Revenant, was released for the PlayStation Portable in Japan in 2009 and worldwide in 2015.

A high-definition remaster for the Nintendo Switch was released in Japan in April 2023, followed by a port of the remaster to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in Japan in May 2024.

It takes place in Crossbell, a city-state located between two great powers fighting for control over it, and follows Lloyd Bannings and his colleagues Elie MacDowell, Randy Orlando, and Tio Plato. The four form the Special Support Section, a newly formed department of the Crossbell police. The game and its 2011 sequel, Trails to Azure, form the Crossbell arc of the series.
