The fourth season of The Masked Singer Australia was announced in October 2021 [1] and premiered on Network 10 on 7 August 2022. In the Grand Finale on 28 August 2022, The winner was revealed to be Melody Thornton as “Mirrorball”, the runner-up was Sheldon Riley as “Snapdragon”, and third place was Hugh Sheridan as “Rooster”.
The fourth series was filmed with a live audience between 30 June and 20 July 2022. [2]
The costumes were designed and created by Australian Academy Award and BAFTA Award-Winning costume designer Tim Chappel, who is best known for his work on The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert with Lizzy Gardiner. [3]
Only comedian Dave Hughes remained on the panel after the show's previous panelists left. British singer-songwriter Mel B, TV personality Abbie Chatfield and radio personality Chrissie Swan joined Hughes as panelists. Osher Günsberg returned as host.
Before the season began, Network Ten revealed that the cast included a Grammy Award winner, a gold medalist, a singer with more than 50 million records sold and a multiple Logie Award winner. [4]
This is the first season to feature "Wild Card" contestants. Further explained in the premiere episode, it was revealed that two of the twelve contestants would perform later in the competition, similar to the format of the fifth American season. [5]
Like the previous season, a special guest mask, "Poodle", appeared for one night. [6] Poodle was revealed to be Tori Spelling, who also appeared as Unicorn on the first American season.

Australian Survivor is an Australian adventure reality game show based on the international Survivor format. Following the premise of other versions of the Survivor format, the show features a group of contestants, referred to as "castaways" as they are marooned in an isolated location. The castaways must provide food, water, fire, and shelter for themselves. The contestants compete in various challenges for rewards and immunity from elimination. The contestants are progressively eliminated from the game as they are voted off the island by their fellow castaways. The final castaway remaining is awarded the title of "Sole Survivor" and the grand prize of A$500,000.
Beauty and the Geek Australia is an Australian reality television show that follows a group of "Beauties" "Geeks" who must pair up to compete in challenges to survive episodic elimination. The final pair remaining is declared as being "More than a Beauty and a Geek" and wins the grand prize of $100,000.
The Amazing Race Australia is an Australian adventure reality competition show based on the American series The Amazing Race. Following the premise of other versions in the Amazing Race franchise, the show follows teams of two as they race around the world. Each season is split into legs, with teams tasked to deduce clues, navigate themselves in foreign areas, interact with locals, perform physical and mental challenges, and travel by air, boat, car, taxi, and other modes of transport. Teams are progressively eliminated at the end of most legs for being the last to arrive at designated Pit Stops. The first team to arrive at the Finish Line wins a grand prize of A$250,000.

It is part of the Masked Singer franchise that originated from the South Korean version of the show King of Mask Singer, which features celebrities singing songs while wearing head-to-toe costumes and face masks concealing their identities. Hosted by Nick Cannon, the program employs panelists who guess the celebrities' identities by interpreting clues provided to them throughout each season. In the Grand Finale on 5 October 2021, Anastacia was revealed as the winner, Em Rusciano was the runner-up, and Axle Whitehead, was third.
The fourteenth series of the Australian cooking game show MasterChef Australia premiered on 18 April 2022 on Network 10. The format for this season is Fans & Favourites, and features 12 new contestants and 12 former contestants. Andy Allen, Melissa Leong, and Jock Zonfrillo returned to the show as judges from the previous season.
The eleventh season of The Voice began airing on 18 April 2022. In October 2021, it was announced Seven Network had once again picked up the series for its eleventh season, set to broadcast in 2022. At the same time, it was announced that Keith Urban, Jessica Mauboy, Rita Ora, and Guy Sebastian would all return as coaches. Sonia Kruger was also announced to return as host.
The fifth and final season of The Masked Singer Australia was announced in February 2023 and premiered on Network 10 on 11 September 2023.
