"Home" is a Singaporean song produced by Kit Chan and composed by Dick Lee. It was one of the first in a series of periodic songs commissioned for Singapore's National Day Parade, together with the other NDP song that year titled as City For The World. Released in 1998, it is sung in English with the Mandarin version being its B-side, both sung by Chan. Since its release, the song has been praised by music critics and the English version has been considered to be one of the most iconic patriotic songs that represents Singapore.

The Singapore Armed Forces Parachute Team (SAFPT), also known as the Red Lions is best known for its free-fall displays at the annual National Day Parade held in Singapore since its first appearance in 1989 as a formalised team, although members of the Singapore Commandos Formation had put on sporadic displays since the 1970s. Primarily responsible for organising display jumps and representing the Singapore Armed Forces in competitions, the team adopted the name "Red Lions" in 1996 as part of its identity. In 2014, Third Warrant Officer Shirley Ng became the first female Red Lion parachutist to jump at the National Day Parade in Singapore. The Red Lions did not perform during NDP 2015 due to bad weather, and security reasons parachuting through the national stadium in NDP 2016 prevented them from doing so. The Red Lions made their latest appearance in NDP 2024, held at Padang.

Sylvia Anne Ratonel is a Singaporean singer and spokesmodel. She is most popularly known as the first female finalist in Singapore Idol history as well as being the runner-up of the third season. "Will you" is a single by Singaporean artistes, Janani Sridhar, Asha Edmund, the late Emma Yong, Lily Anna Rahmat, Jai Wahab, Shabir Mohammed, Sebastian Tan and Gani Karim. Song for Singapore is a song composed and sung by Singaporean (American-based) singer, Corrinne May. It was officially commissioned as the official theme for the 2010 National Day Parade. The single is the first NDP theme song to be available for free digital download. The song was performed twice during the National Day Parade. Once as a dance version by Sezairi Sezali and Sylvia Ratonel as the Prime Minister of Singapore took his seat during the parade. The Singapore National Day Parade 2018, also known as NDP 2018, was a national parade and ceremony that was held on 9 August 2018 in commemoration of Singapore's 53rd year of independence. It located at The Float at Marina Bay. It is the first National Day Parade for President Halimah Yacob.
