Thomas Beadle (born March 22,1987) is an American politician from the state of North Dakota. A Republican,he is the North Dakota State Treasurer. Beadle was previously a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives.
Beadle graduated from Concordia College. He has worked as a realtor [1] and business manager of a graphic design firm. [2]
Beadle was first elected to the North Dakota House of Representatives in 2010,succeeding Lee Myxter,who did not run for reelection to run for a seat in the North Dakota Senate. [3]
Beadle ran for North Dakota State Treasurer in the 2020 elections. [4] He faced Daniel Johnston for the Republican Party nomination for state treasurer in the primary election. [5] Beadle defeated Johnston, [6] and won the general election in November, [7] defeating Democrat Mark Haugen with 66% of the vote. He was sworn in as state treasurer on January 1. [8]
His grandfather was Earl Strinden,a former majority leader of the North Dakota House. [9] His aunt,Michelle Strinden,also serves in the North Dakota House,and his stepfather,Tony Grindberg,is a former member of the North Dakota Senate. [10]

The 2024 North Dakota House of Representatives elections were held on November 5,2024,as part of the biennial 2024 United States elections. In January of 2024,Federal District Court Judge Peter Welte required North Dakota to substantially alter Legislative District 9 in response to a lawsuit by the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians and the Spirit Lake Tribe. The tribes alleged that the House of Representatives districts established by the North Dakota legislature violated the voting rights act by preventing members of the Spirit Lake Tribe from electing a candidate of their choice to the legislature. The court-ordered new District 9,which the Turtle Mountain and Spirit Lake tribes had proposed,includes both the Turtle Mountain and Spirit Lake reservations.
