Thurgauer Kantonalbank is a cantonal bank serving the Swiss canton of Thurgau. The head office is based in Weinfelden. [1]

History

Thurgauer Kantonalbank (TKB) was founded in 1871. Thurgauer Kantonalbank is the 22nd largest bank in Switzerland, and 10th largest of the cantonal banks in the country. As of 2020, Thurgauer Kantonalbank recorded an annual profit of £139.08 mln CHF. [2]

In 2014, Thurgauer Kantonalbank went through an IPO and became listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange. The canton provided CHF 50 million of the share capital or 12.5% for this purpose. The offer was oversubscribed several times and generated proceeds of CHF 185 million, all of which went to the canton of Thurgau. [3] [4] [5]

In 2017, the bank sold all of its shares in the Swiss National Bank. [6] [7]

Wil–Kreuzlingen railway

The Wil–Kreuzlingen railway is a largely single-track standard-gauge line in northeastern Switzerland. It was built by the Mittelthurgaubahn; MThB), which was a Swiss private railway based in Weinfelden. It was liquidated in 2003, including its subsidiary Lokoop, and its activities and the infrastructure it owned were mainly taken over by a Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) subsidiary, Thurbo, which was originally formed as a joint venture between the MThB and the SBB.

Diessenhofen is a village and a municipality in Frauenfeld District in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland. The village is situated on the south shore of the High Rhine just opposite the German town of Gailingen am Hochrhein.
