Timothy Lam (born 24 August 1997) is an American badminton player and coach. [2] He competed at the 2019 Pan American Games finished in the quarter-finals stage. [1] In 2021, Lam was confirmed as qualifying to compete for the US at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics. [3]

Lam graduated in 2018 in accounting from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) in Pomona, California. [4]

He won his first senior international title at the 2014 Puerto Rico International in the men's singles event. Haramara Gaitán Fausto is a Mexican badminton player. She is three-times women's singles gold medalists at the Central American and Caribbean Games, winning the title in 2014, 2018 and 2023. In the Pan Am Championships, Gaitán won the bronze medals in the women's singles in 2018 and in the women's doubles in 2023. There are 172 quota places available for qualification for badminton at the 2020 Summer Olympics. The Olympic qualification period took place between April 29, 2019 and April 25, 2021, and the Badminton World Federation rankings list, scheduled to publish on June 15, 2021, was used to allocate spots. Nations can enter a maximum of two players each in the men's and women's singles if both are ranked in the world's top 16; otherwise, one quota place until the roster of thirty-eight players has been completed. Similar regulations also apply to the players competing in the doubles, as the NOCs can enter a maximum of two pairs if both are ranked in the top eight, while the remaining NOCs are entitled to one until the quota of 16 highest-ranked pairs is filled.

Kristen Tsai is a Taiwanese born Canadian badminton player. She is the women's doubles champion at the 2019 Pan American Games, fifth time Pan Am Champion winning the women's singles title in 2012, and then the women's doubles title in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
