The Zimbabwe national cricket team,also known as Chevrons represents Zimbabwe in men's international cricket and is administered by Zimbabwe Cricket. Zimbabwe has been a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1992. As of March,2022,Zimbabwe is currently ranked 10th in Tests,13th in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 11th in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) by the ICC.
Brendan Ross Murray Taylor is a Zimbabwean former international cricketer and a former Zimbabwean captain,who played all formats of the game. Taylor is a right-handed batsman but is also an off spinner. In 2015,former Zimbabwe captain Alistair Campbell described Taylor as "our standout player for the last seven or eight years". He represented Zimbabwe in four ICC T20 World Cup tournaments in 2007,2010,2012 and 2014.. Also,he represented Zimbabwe in three ICC ODI world cups as well in 2007,2011 and 2015.
Sean Colin Williams is a Zimbabwean international cricketer,who plays all formats primarily as a batting all-rounder. In September 2019,Zimbabwe Cricket named him as Zimbabwe's captain,after Hamilton Masakadza retired from international cricket. Later the same month,Williams captained Zimbabwe for the first time,in the opening Twenty20 International (T20I) match of the 2019–20 Singapore Tri-Nation Series,against Nepal.
Chamunorwa Justice "Chamu" Chibhabha is a Zimbabwean cricketer who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium pace. In January 2020,Zimbabwe Cricket named him as the captain of Zimbabwe's One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) squads on an interim basis.
Kyle Malcolm Jarvis is a Zimbabwean former cricketer who represented Zimbabwe and played for Lancashire. The son of another former Zimbabwean international cricketer Malcolm Jarvis,he was educated at St John's College,Harare,where he excelled at rugby and cricket. Kyle was a key bowler for Zimbabwe in the 2008 Under-19 World Cup and he also played for the Zimbabwe U-19 Rugby Team. He was coached by Zimbabwean veteran seamer Heath Streak. He was one of the fastest bowlers to have played for Zimbabwe bowling at 140kph very often during his early career. On 17 June 2021,Jarvis retired from all forms of cricket after battling a trio of illnesses earlier this year.
Daniel James Peacock is an English-born former cricketer. Peacock was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break.
Craig Richard Ervine is a Zimbabwean international cricketer who captains Zimbabwe in limited overs matches. Ervine is a left-handed batsman. He was born in Harare and has played Test and limited overs cricket for the Zimbabwe national cricket team and first-class cricket for a variety of Zimbabwean sides in the Logan Cup. He holds Irish passport. In January 2022,in the opening fixture of the series against Sri Lanka,Ervine played in his 100th One Day International (ODI) match.
The Southern Rocks is one of five Zimbabwean cricket franchises. They are a first-class cricket team,based in the Masvingo and Matabeleland South area. They play their home matches at Masvingo Sports Club in Masvingo. The team initially ceased to play after the 2013-14 season. In their 47 first-class matches they won 3,lost 27,and drew 17. However,in December 2020,Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed they would be one of the teams playing in the 2020–21 Logan Cup Southern Rocks won their first Logan Cup trophy in the same 2020-21 season.
Tendai Larry Chatara is an international cricketer who represents the Zimbabwe national cricket team. A tall,wiry fast bowler with appreciable pace and the ability to move the ball away from the right-hander,Chatara has risen quickly to prominence since his first-class debut for Mountaineers in 2009. Though he was not good academically in school,he is one of the most talented pace prospects of his country.
Sikandar Raza Butt is a Pakistani-born Zimbabwean international cricketer,who plays all formats primarily as a batsman.
The Pro50 Championship,formerly known as the Faithwear Metbank One-Day Competition,Metbank Pro40 Championship,Faithwear Inter-Provincial Tournament,and Coca-Cola Metbank Pro50 Championship is the premier List A cricket tournament in Zimbabwe,organized by Zimbabwe Cricket. This tournament was started after the Zimbabwean cricket crisis,recommended by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is jointly sponsored by Metbank and Coca-Cola.
Calum Walter Price is a domestic and former Zimbabwean Under-19 cricketer. Along with the likes of Keegan Meth and Kyle Jarvis,he is regarded as a great future pace prospect for Zimbabwe. Price belongs to a sporting family;his cousin Ryan Higgins,regarded as the second best leg spinner Zimbabwe has produced before taking an early retirement,played ODIs for Zimbabwe and his cousin Dylan captained the Under-19 side at the 2010 World Cup in New Zealand. Dylan was also selected for the ICC World XI with his good pal The Stoin.
Tinotenda Confidence Mutombodzi is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He began his career as a leg-spin bowler,but now plays principally as a batsman. He made his One Day International debut against the West Indies in February 2013,and his T20 International debut in March 2013.
Gordon John Brown is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played at first-class and limited overs level for Manicaland during the 2004–05 season.
Tinashe Hove is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played domestically for Matabeleland,Westerns,and Southerns.
Tinashe Paradzayi Ruswa is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played for Manicaland and Mashonaland during the early 2000s.
Rangarirai Norbert Manyande is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played for several domestic teams during the early 2000s. He moved to Namibia later in the decade,and went on to represent the Namibian national side at tournaments in South Africa and Zimbabwe. Having begun his coaching career while still playing in Zimbabwe,Manyande was appointed coach of the Namibian under-19 side in 2013,and has overseen its successful qualification for the 2014 and 2016 Under-19 World Cups.

The 2019–20 Logan Cup was the 26th edition of the Logan Cup,a first-class cricket competition in Zimbabwe. The tournament started on 12 December 2019,and was scheduled to finish on 16 February 2020. It featured five franchise teams,including a new team,the Rangers. Mountaineers were the defending champions.
The Harare South Country Club is a country club to the south of Harare. Its facilities include a golf course and a cricket ground. The cricket ground has played host to first-class and List A one-day matches. It first hosted first-class cricket in 1987,when Zimbabwe B played Pakistan B. Following Zimbabwe's elevation to Test status in 1992,matches in the Logan Cup gained first-class status,with both Mashonaland Country Districts and Mashonaland using the ground for home matches;the ground also played host to List A matches for both Mashonaland Country Districts and Zimbabwe Country Districts,in addition to hosting three matches in the 2000 ICC Emerging Nations Tournament. First-class cricket has not been played there since 1997 and List A cricket has not been played there since 2001.
