Tinningstedt (Danish : Tinningsted, North Frisian: Taningstää) is a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Most of the area is divided up into oddly shaped divisions of land. It's a rather beautiful bit of countryside; long, sprawling roads wind through the open countryside. [2]
Danish is a North Germanic language spoken by around six million people, principally in Denmark and in the region of Southern Schleswig in northern Germany, where it has minority language status. Also, minor Danish-speaking communities are found in Norway, Sweden, Spain, the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Argentina. Due to immigration and language shift in urban areas, around 15–20% of the population of Greenland speak Danish as their first language.
Schleswig-Holstein is the northernmost of the 16 states of Germany, comprising most of the historical duchy of Holstein and the southern part of the former Duchy of Schleswig. Its capital city is Kiel; other notable cities are Lübeck and Flensburg.
