The Odia cinema, colloquially known as Ollywood, is the Odia language Indian film industry, based in Bhubaneshwar and Cuttack in Odisha, India. The name Ollywood is a portmanteau of the words Odia and Hollywood.
Mu Sapanara Soudagar is a 2008 Indian Oriya film directed by Sanjay Nayak. This is the first film of Sabyasachi Mishra and Archita Sahu together. This film is inspired by Bollywood movie Agni Shakhi which itself was based on the English movie Sleeping with the Enemy. Sabyasachi(Omm) played the title character as an anti hero. Archita(Shriya) played love interested of both Omm and Chandan, which was played by Arindam Roy.
Mihir Kumar Das was an Indian actor who worked in Odia language films of Ollywood industry. He had received several awards, notably Best Actor for his films Laxmi Pratima in 1998 and Pheria Mo Suna Bhauni in 2005 Best Supporting Actor award for his films Rakhi Bandhili Mo Rakhiba Mana in 2002 and Prema Adhei Akhyara and Best Comedian award for Mu Tate Love Karuchhi in 2007 from the Odisha state government.
Drohi (transl. Traitor) is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad in her directorial debut. The film stars Srikanth, Vishnu Vishal, Poorna and Poonam Bajwa in lead roles. The music was composed by V. Selvaganesh with cinematography by Alphonse Roy and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. The film released on 10 September 2010 to positive reviews. The film was remade in Odia as Tora Dine Ku Mora Dine (2016). It was later dubbed into Hindi as the same title.
Pracheta Gupta is a Bengali writer and journalist. In 2007, his work Chander Bari has been adapted into a Bengali film by director Tarun Majumdar. In 2011, director Sekhar Das made film on Gupta's story Chor-er bou, the film was named Necklace. Few of his stories have been translated into Hindi, Oriya and Marathi language.

Gupta, the resident film critic of The Telegraph newspaper in Kolkata and produced by Kaustuv Roy. The music of the film has been scored by Shantanu Moitra. Besides a successful six-week run in Bengal, Paanch Adhyay was selected as the Centerpiece Premiere at the South Asian International Film Festival in New York and in the New Voice in Indian Cinema section at the Mumbai Film Festival. Paanch Adhyay also won the Best Film Award at the prestigious Kalakar Awards.

The film starring Koel Mallick and Vinay Pathak, is based on the Hate Matro Tintey Din, a story by the novelist Suchitra Bhattacharya. Mallick portrays the fictional detective character, Mitin Masi, created by Bhattacharya. The film was released on 2 October 2019.
