Transformers: Dark of the Moon is a film which has an associated toy line released in 2011 by Hasbro (Takara Tomy in Japan). [1] The film, and thus the toy line, is based on the original Transformers media franchise. The first toy in this line is Cyberverse Commander Optimus Prime, which was released on March 2011. The official launch date of the toy line was May 16, 2011.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is a 2011 American science fiction action film directed by Michael Bay, and it is based on the Transformers toy line. It is the third installment in the live-action Transformers film series, and is the sequel to 2009's Revenge of the Fallen. It is also the first film in the series that was not co-produced by DreamWorks, leaving Paramount Pictures as the sole distributor. The film stars Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Patrick Dempsey, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, John Malkovich, and Frances McDormand. Its story is set three years after the events of Revenge of the Fallen, and follows the warring Autobots and Decepticons as they battle to possess powerful technology from their homeworld that had crashed on Earth's moon. Returning Transformers include Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Ratchet, Sideswipe, Skids and Mudflap, Wheelie, Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Barricade, Sideways, Long Haul, Scrapper, and Brawl.

Mech Tech Weapons System

Mech Tech Weapons System is a gimmick available on selected Deluxe, Voyager, Human Alliance and Leader Class figures. Each figure comes with an oversized blaster that transforms into a different weapon using a spring-loaded mechanism. Only the Voyager Class, Deluxe Starscream's, and Deluxe Laserbeak's weapons have locking mechanisms to keep their secondary forms in place. In addition, the figures have multiple hardpoints on their body panels to place their weapons anywhere or add more weapons for enhanced customization.

Cyberverse

Cyberverse is a new sub-line in this toy series.

Ford Mustang (fifth generation)

The fifth-generation Ford Mustang (S197) is a pony car that was manufactured by Ford from 2004 to 2014, at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Flat Rock, Michigan. The fifth generation began with the 2005 model year, and received a facelift for the 2010 model year. Originally designed by Sid Ramnarace through late 2001 and finalized in mid-2002, the fifth-generation Mustang's design was previewed by two preproduction concept cars that debuted at the 2003 North American International Auto Show. Development began on the S-197 program in 1999 under chief engineer Hau Thai-Tang, shortly after the 1998 launch of "New Edge" SN-95 facelift. From the second half of 1999, design work commenced under Ford design chief, J Mays, and concluded in July 2002 with the design freeze. Saleen S281

The Saleen S-281 is a variant introduced between the 4th and 5th generations of Ford Mustang which was produced by the American manufacturer Saleen, Inc. By 2005, Saleen departed from being a company of modifying existing Ford Mustangs as well as various other Ford automobiles, and became an Original equipment manufacturer. This was easily distinguishable with the body work designed by Phil Frank on the S-281's as well as the various other models offered by Saleen.

Chevrolet Camaro (fifth generation)

The fifth-generation of the Camaro was manufactured by American automobile manufacturer Chevrolet from 2010 to 2015 model years. It is the fifth distinct generation of the muscle/pony car to be produced since its original introduction in 1967. Production of the fifth generation model began on March 16, 2009 after several years on hiatus since the previous generation's production ended in 2002 and went on sale to the public in April 2009 for the 2010 model year.

Commander Class

A replacement of the Scout Class line, the Commander Class toys are small-sized (about 4 inches tall) figures; many with simple transformation. [3]

Sikorsky MH-53 Helicopter

The Sikorsky MH-53 Pave Low series was a long-range special operations and combat search and rescue (CSAR) helicopter for the United States Air Force. The series was upgraded from the HH-53B/C, variants of the Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion. The HH-53 "Super Jolly Green Giant" was initially developed to replace the HH-3E "Jolly Green Giant". The U.S. Air Force's MH-53J/M fleet was retired in September 2008.

Scorpion Order of arachnids

A lunar rover or Moon rover is a space exploration vehicle designed to move across the surface of the Moon. The Apollo Program's Lunar Roving Vehicle was driven on the Moon by members of three American crews, Apollo 15, 16, and 17. Other rovers have been partially or fully autonomous robots, such as the Soviet Union's Lunokhods and the Chinese Yutus. Four countries have had operating rovers on the Moon: the Soviet Union, the United States and China. Indian mission is en-route while Japan and Greece currently have planned missions.

Peterbilt 379

The Peterbilt 379 is a model line of Class 8 trucks that was produced by the Peterbilt division of PACCAR from 1987 to 2007. Serving as the successor to the 359, the 379 was a conventional-cab truck configured primarily for highway use, serving as the flagship of the Peterbilt model line. During much of its production, the 379 was popular among owner-operator drivers. In line with the Kenworth W900, the 379 serves as a popular basis for truck customization.

Hummer H2 car model

The Hummer H2 is a large SUV that was marketed by Hummer and built by AM General from 2002 to 2009 based on a modified GMT820 Chevrolet 2500 HD in front and 1500 frame in back. A common misconception was that it was based on a Tahoe frame. A four-door pickup truck version with a midgate that opens the vehicle's interior to the external cargo bed was introduced for 2005 as the H2 SUT.

Deluxe Class figures (about 5.5 to 6 inches tall) comprise the bulk of the film's toy line, featuring Mech Tech weapons. All figures are new molds except where indicated.

The Scan Series

The Scan Series is a Toys "R" Us exclusive sub-line that features remolds of past figures. Each figure has light blue highlights in the middle that fade into clear plastic, simulating the effect of vehicle scanning. [4]

Voyager Class

Voyager Class figures are larger (about 8 inches tall) and more detailed than the Deluxe Class toys. Like the Deluxe Class figures, Voyager Class figures feature Mech Tech weapons. All figures are new molds except where indicated.

Leader Class

Leader Class figures are about 10 inches tall on average, and feature electronic lights and sounds as well as Mech Tech weaponry and intricate details.

Supreme Class

Supreme Class Jetwing Optimus Prime is a Japan-exclusive retool of the Revenge of the Fallen Leader Class Buster Optimus Prime figure with jet pack parts that are more film-accurate than the Ultimate Optimus Prime figure. Included in the package is a collectible coin.

Ultimate Class

Ultimate Class figures feature a higher level of detail, articulation and gimmicks than Leader Class figures. Currently, Optimus Prime is the only figure offered in this line. This Prime figure features a trailer that transforms into his power armor.

Human Alliance

Human Alliance consists of a figure with a poseable 2.25" driver figurine that fits on the figure's seats or can be posed to man the figure's auxiliary weapons. The Basic Human Alliance figures are triple-changers, wherein they transform from vehicles to robots or large weapons that can be held by Voyager or Leader Class figures. In the case of Thunderhead and Crosshairs, they transform into power suits that their driver figurine can pilot and in case of Drag Strip, he transforms into a shield that his driver figurine can pilot.

Dual Model Kit

Dual Model Kit is a new model kit line sold exclusively in Japan by Takara Tomy. Despite being non-transformable, these 1:35 scale kits feature intricate detail and articulation not found in the transforming toys. Each kit comes with a pre-assembled inner frame and pre-painted snap-on parts. A waterslide decal sheet is provided for experienced kit builders to use if they choose to paint the kit themselves.

Robo Power is a sub-line targeted at younger children.

Activators are toy vehicles with instant transformation at the push of a button.
