Joseph Aloysius Lyons was an Australian politician who was the tenth prime minister of Australia, in office from 1932 until his death in 1939. Michael Ferguson is an Australian politician who is currently the Deputy Premier of Tasmania since April 2022. Ferguson was appointed to cabinet after his party's victory in the 2014 state election and has served continuously as Minister in a range of portfolios including Finance, Health, Infrastructure, Transport, State Growth and Science and Technology. He is also the Leader of the House.

Sir Philip Oakley Fysh was an English-born Australian politician. He arrived in Tasmania in 1859 and became a leading merchant in Hobart. He served two terms as premier of Tasmania and became a leader of the colony's federation movement. He subsequently won election to the new federal House of Representatives (1901–1910) and was invited to represent Tasmania in the first federal ministry, serving as minister without portfolio (1901–1903) and Postmaster-General (1903–1904).

Michael Anthony Aird is a former Tasmanian politician. He was an ALP member of the Tasmanian Legislative Council in the Division of Derwent since 1995. From 2006 to 2010, he was the treasurer of Tasmania, one of few legislative councillors in history to have held a ministerial portfolio and the first to serve as Treasurer as previous Treasurers has been from the lower house, the House of Assembly. He took over the role of Treasurer from Paul Lennon after the 2006 state election.

The Rockliff ministry is the immediate former ministry of the Tasmanian Government, led by Jeremy Rockliff of the Tasmanian Liberals. It was formed on 8 April 2022, after Rockliff was elected unopposed as leader of the Liberal Party and sworn as the state's 47th Premier by Governor Barbara Baker. The ministry replaced the Second Gutwein ministry, after former Premier Peter Gutwein resigned from his position and quit politics.
