Janine Patricia "Tricia" Gerona Robredo (born July 18, 1994) is a Filipino physician and former courtside reporter for the National University Bulldogs in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).
Tricia Robredo is the second daughter of former interior secretary Jesse Robredo (1958–2012) and former vice president Leni Robredo. [1] [2] [3]
While studying at National University (NU) for college, Robredo joined the UAAP coverage team of ABS-CBN Sports in 2013 as a courtside reporter. [4] She said that her sideline gig was for her late father, an avid basketball fan, who died in a plane crash the previous year. Her mother said that Tricia was the most affected by his death. [5] She stayed as a courtside reporter until 2014, [1] when the NU basketball team won the championship. [6]
Robredo later studied at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health from 2014 while continuing to report for the NU Bulldogs. [6] [7] [8] She received her medical degree and an MBA in 2020. [9] [10] [11] [12] She also passed the licensure medical examination that same year. [13]
While campaigning for her mother in 2022, Tricia Robredo led a campaign sortie called ‘Angatleta sa Araneta’ at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, [14] which was attended by athletes, especially former UAAP volleyball players who endorsed her mother for president. [15]
During the campaign, Robredo and her older sister Aika asked the National Bureau of Investigation to conduct a probe against those who spread fake lewd photos of them. [16]

UAAP Season 79 is the 2016–2017 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). This season, hosted by the University of Santo Tomas officially opened on September 3, 2016. The opening ceremony was held at the UST Plaza Mayor at 3:00 pm with the formal introduction of ballroom dancing as a demonstration sport in this season by the host school University of Santo Tomas (UST) at España, Manila. The official ceremony started at 5:00 pm as there was a concert party themed "Dare to Dream" where the official theme song for the season was revealed. However, unlike in the previous years when the first double-header basketball games were held following the opening ceremonies, this year it was held the following day, September 4 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
